Overall: Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College has very good infrastructure with well known faculties and teaching staff. Placement track records are also nice.
Placement: College carries high reputation in terms of Placement among all the universities in Chennai. 78% of students are able to secure the placement with decent packages.
Infrastructure: Infrastructural Aspect of Campus includes Good Wi- Fi availability over the campus. Buildings are huge with good classrooms . Libraries are very good . Medical Support Centre is also inside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty of College are nice . They do hold higher degrees in their fields . They are amongst the top faculties of the India. Many faculty have industrial experience that can help us in understanding industry through their experience.
Hostel: Hostel fees starts with 70,000 rupees for double occupancy. But that amount literally worth it as hostels do care of all the needs of students like food, water , laundry etc.
Overall: Chennai Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, the 130 years prestigious institution was founded by the British in 1891, with the speciality of its location had been in the High Court Campus. This institution had the privilege of being the 2nd oldest college in the country and the first law college started in south India. Originally named ‘Madras Law College’, later got renamed in 1991 as ‘Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College’ in commemoration of Birth Centenary of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar, the Father of Indian Constitution.
Placement: If you have finished your course, then you're automatically eligible for the court practice. Many big companies come for placements. Most of the students from BA LLB course are placed.
Infrastructure: The campus accommodates approximately 1300 students who study five-year LLB Programme and LLM Programme. The classrooms and other buildings have come up in 15.56 acres of land at a cost of Rs. 57.41 crore.
Faculty: Staff members are good, and the syllabus is very easy to study and learn. Teachers are very helpful, qualified and also knowledgeable. We don't feel that we are gaining anything in our college, even the teachers just read the lines of books and here is where we end in the college.
Hostel: Rental annual 8000 Rent monthly 2400 3 sharing room 300rooms total Good infrastructure but it is in remote area The college hostel is equipped with wifi, AC and all other required facilities.
