Steps for BTech Admission at NIT Raipur
Step 1: Qualify JEE Main
First, the candidates need to appear for JEE Main in the January or April session and meet the cutoff, as published on JoSAA for NIT Raipur.
Step 2: Register for JoSAA
Then they need to create an account on the JoSAA portal and submit details for the counselling process.
Step 3: Fill Choices
The candidates need to select NIT Raipur branches in order of preference.
Step 4: Seat Allotment
To take part in the seat allotment process, the general, OBC and EWS candidates need to pay around INR 30,000 to the JoSAA counselling body. For the SC, ST, and PWD, the fees are INR 15,000. These fees are later readjusted in the institute fee.
Upon seat allotment, the candidates need to check rounds for assigned seats. If the candidates get the desired specialisation, then she/he must accept the seat; otherwise, float options are also available for the next round.

Overall: Overall NIT Raipur is doing well in academic areas which cover placements , internships etc. The only thing it lacks is infrastructure which is improving year by year. NIT Raipur is also well connected with major big cities of Chhattisgarh.
Placement: Placements of NIT Raipur are decent and has improved a lot in recent years. Some companies that visited during campus placements are JSW, Vedanta Group, Deloitte, ZS Associates etc. Roles offered were SWE, GET, Data Analyst etc. Average package stood was around 9 lpa.
Infrastructure: It is an old college which lacks in good infrastructure, lab infrastructure is also not good though it has also facilities but new constructions are under process and will improve in coming years.
Faculty: Faculty at NIT Raipur is excellent, well qualified in their respective academic areas. They are very helpful and cooperative, always willing to help you out of both academic and non-academic issues.
ReportPlacement: Here placement is best. In all branches placement is well. But my branch placement is 92% .My branch maximum package is 25 lakhs and lowest pack is 10 lakhs and avg package is 12 lakhs. College highest package is 55 lakhs in CSE branch.
Faculty: Faculties are very good, they teach all students well, they are all PHD qualified teachers. They teach well. They are experienced and very strict. They know how students get placement.
Hostel: Hostel food is very simple. Wifi is available in hostel. Separate students have separate bed, chair, table, Lock shelf and separate ether net connector. Hostel food is normal. Hostel is less in NIT Raipur. All students don't get hostel. Here hostel distributed according to rank Basis.
ReportOverall: NIT Raipur is one the 29 nits of our country, and it somewhat lives up to it's reputation. We have decent campus, with good facilities, and diverse student mix. Then there is the sports department which includes the college personal gym.
Placement: We have multiple clubs and committees in our college. And one of them in placement cell. Supervised by two of our very respected professors and management involves the students of final and pre-final year of the branch.
Infrastructure: Being in the pre-final year of civil Engineer I can definitely say my college could use some add ons , but as of now it's fine. We have separate building for barch separate for btech. Addition to that we have a sports complex in making.
Faculty: I cannot speak on behalf of other departments, but my professors of civil department, who happen to have a teaching experience of 25-30 years and are still expanding their knowledge base by working on different products nationally and internationally are the best. I cannot describe the utter joy of understanding things through practical,on field examples and stories they tell.
Hostel: Being in college that approximately has a total strength of 5000 students, the number of hostel seats are very limited. There are 5 hostel buildings for boys and 2 for girls. And yes the facilities in our hostels are limited, but being in a college hostel is much recommended experience for every one.
ReportOverall: The overall college is very good in terms of placements,Teaching and circular the overall placement of the college approachs to about 75-80% and the professors are well educated and also well experienced in there field and they are also very interactive with the students.
Placement: The overall placements of the college is good as compared to other colleges but it will not improving continuously it is approx constant every year in terms of percentage.
Infrastructure: The overall of infrastructure of the college is good but very old model the laboratory of the college are maintained but they are also very old but we can able to found all the necessary equipments in our laboratory.
Faculty: As I had already discussed that the faculties of our college are very well educated and well experienced in there own field and the faculties are also very interactive with the students
Hostel: The hostel faculties of the college are not well as there are lack of hostel in college therefore hostel are provided every year on the basis of cgpa and in 1st year it is provided in the basics of jee mains score .

Placement: If I talk about placement facility given by this institute.I can say that it is very average.Not all the student got placed , only thirty to forty percent of the student got placed every year , which is very bad
Infrastructure: If I talk about infrastruc7ture of our institute I can say that buildings were creatively made.It was restricted for outsiders to enter into the institute and yes playing area and libraries and cultural activities area over there
Faculty: Best part of this institute is that faculties who are working here are really well qualified.Well knowledgeable and headstudents and motivate students eating each and every step of their college life
Hostel: Best part of hostel is that Clealiness This is maintained by staff.Staff is really good food.Served here was of nice quality.It was restricted to outsiders to enter into the hostel area
ReportOverall: The location of our NIT Raipur college is in the main city of Raipur, because of that the accessability of resources become easy for person. Due to its prime location ,Railway Station , Hospital , Bus stand also very near to college. Our college has a very good coding culture and placements of our college is also very good. You havevto study hard and score well in Jee maiins exams to get this college. A lot of fests are also celebrated in our college, which are celebrated at big level and student community organises the fest.
Placement: Placements of NIT Raipur are very good . Apart from Non core the core fields are also having very good placements . Branches like CSE , IT have an average package is around 17 lpa and core field packages are around 9 lpa . So you dont need to worry about placements, if you will do threshold hardwork , ypu will get a placement for sure. The top recruiters of our colleges are companies like - DE Shaw, Adobe, Dboi, Sprinkker, Delloit ,Capgemini, Jenpeg etc and many more . Core companies are JSW, Zess, Vedanta, Schlumberger etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of NIT Raipur college is good but not very good. Classes are big and in every classes you get projectors as well as smart boards. There are two buildings one is main building and other is architecture building . There is a gym, basketball court , volleyball ground , football ground , tabletennis boards, badminton court and many more playing halls are present. There is also a connected railway station is also present in backside of NIT Raipur.
Faculty: Faculties of NIT Raipur are highly qualified from IITs and they have immense knowledge of their subjects. They always teaches concep as research based and you will understand the concepts well.Proffesors are very supportive and friendly to students , they do not pressurizes much to the students about academic exams and always helps them in placement perspective . By the way there always exists an exception in every field , there are some teachers who are really very strict about every thing linke attendence, marks , behavour etc. But you should take this in positive way that they taught descipline to you.
Hostel: Getting hostel in NIT Raipur is very challanging task , there are limited no. of hostel rooms are available. Hostel will be alloted according to merit basis , you have to score well to get hostel around 8.8+ cpi. You will get a triple sharing hostel rooms which are spacious and you can adjust easily. The mess food quality is not good , you have yo compramise with the food taste . You have to adjust and on every Sunday night the mess is closed and you have to eat from outside.

Faculty: Teachers are actually a good part of the nit raipur not all but some teachers are great and there behaviour is also good that you can get a good score
Hostel: In my opinion the hostels are good as compared to pg they offer a great meal to students but there are not enough hostels for people so you might will might not get .nit are good .
ReportOverall: The Ranking of college decreased this year as compared to last year since last year director was not appointed to our college but this year new director come and he is working on increasing Ranking So, ranking will increase in 2024
Placement: Placement are good and you have to prepare well since placement percentage is somewhat less Ece placement decreased very much but overall highest package increased
Infrastructure: The college is situated in the prime location of raipur but the bad thing is that it has very much shortage of hostel. And there is only one academic building for all the branches.
Faculty: It department are very chill The regular do mass funk But ece branch has very hectic schedule and at the same time faculties and some lab assistants are very strict
Hostel: Shortage of hostel. Only 20 to 25 people from one branch can get hostel on the basis of jee main rank. And from 2nd year onwards they got hostel from on the basis of cpi
ReportOverall: Overall faculty and infrastructure is very well but in case of biotechnology department the laboratory equipments are not available for specific lab test sometimes you have to use pressure cooker for sterilization.
Placement: In biotechnology department majorly IT companies come in institute not core biotechnology company so in biotechnology either you will learn coding or pursue mtech of PhD .
Infrastructure: In Nit raipur overall infrastructure is Good along with good classroom and projector . Teachers are well coordinated and highly qualified and came from iits and nits ..
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified for prestigious institute liek iits and nits and well cooperative fot their students one ma'am was Lata upadhyay from iit bhu and Avinash sir is also from good institute.
Hostel: In hostel , wifi connection is very welll along with good internet speed and in hostel in hostel there are 3 boys in one room which is sufficient for them and Along with mess you willl get breakfast Lunch dinner time to time and food quality is also good
ReportOverall: It's a very good place to start your b tech journey , there are certain problems for sure as there are in the functioning of other government organisations but you will get good quality of exposure and experience in this college
Placement: This can be one major factor for you to choose this college as the placements here especially for branches like mining , metallurgy, chemical are high as cg is a hub for steel and coal manufacturing having a degree in these domains can secure you a good job , needed you have worked hard in the 4 years of your college life
Infrastructure: It is pretty decent but you can't expect a 5 star facility from a government college All of the above hostel facilities are provided on the basis of all India rank and the distance of your residence
Faculty: The faculties of this college are pretty decent you can't expect them to teach everything in a 50 minutes period Here all the facilities have a huge amount of knowledge but if you generally talk about the circuital branches their teachers are pretty strict and also lacks instrest in teaching the students
