Overall It is a good college for my coarse of civil engineering , our college have all types of faculties for every subject. And also we have 200 students in our branch

Placement There are very less no of placements in our college and also the package is not that good. Only cse and electrical students get some placements and other branches can't have any placement

Infrastructure College is setup in 2009 and now the infrastructure of our college is looking somewhat old . They have to renovate the college infrastructure and looks

Faculty We have enough number of faculties in our college and they all are higher qualified. We have enough lab assistant and they teach good but they are so strict

Hostel There are 5 hostels ( ekalavya hostel for only first year, Debabrata and falguni hostel for other seniors and baidehi and menaka hostel for girls) and girls are allowed to stay outside till 6pm

Placement Parala maharja engineering college, Berhampur has a dedicated Training and Placement cell to assit students in internship and job placements. This year till now the recruitment companies are providing an average package of Rs 3.5-5 LPA. The training and placement cell helps students connect with companies offering internships. PSU like NTPC, NALCO, OHPC and DRDO are proving intership opprtunities for the students. The placement in this college is not that great . The companies use to visit this college are : WIPRO,TCS,INFOSYS,TATA POWER, JSW, JINDAL PANTHER and many other small startups. The intership opportunities is provided by TATA power, DRDO (UNPAID) and many more but most of them are unpaid . The percentage of students getting placed are almost 60 percent not more thant that for sure . The highest package offered last year was 7 lpa to 3 students and minimum package was 1.3 lpa. From 4th and 5th semester your are almost eligible for internship but after 7the semester you are eligible for campus placements.

Faculty The faculty at the institution are known for being highly cooperative and supportive, fostering a positive learning atmosphere for students. In each semester, two internal exams are conducted, each worth 15 marks, while the end-semester exam carries 100 marks. The course curriculum is well-structured and designed to provide comprehensive knowledge. However, one significant drawback is the delayed completion of the syllabus, which is primarily attributed to BPUT, Rourkela, the governing body overseeing this college alongside institutions like IGIT Sarang, GCE Keonjhar, and GCE Kalahandi. While the course structure leans heavily toward theoretical knowledge, there is limited emphasis on practical exposure, which could be improved for better industry readiness. On the positive side, the teaching methods employed by the faculty are excellent. Many instructors integrate questions from previous years' GATE papers into their lessons, which not only strengthens conceptual clarity but also encourages students to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, UPSC, ESE, and others. Additionally, teachers often provide personalized guidance and motivate students to explore advanced topics beyond the syllabus. Workshops and seminars, when conducted, are beneficial but could be organized more frequently to complement the curriculum. Overall, the faculty plays an instrumental role in inspiring and preparing students for academic and competitive success, despite some systemic limitations.

Hostel There are 2 off campus hostel also available for the boys named as Amit hostel and gopalpur junction hostel . And regular bus facility also available to the campus In the in campus hostel : There is separate hostel for both boys and girls. Rooms are typically shared (2 to 3 students per room). Basic amenities like beds, tables, chairs and wadrobes are provided in each room. There are total 3 boys hostel: EKALVYA HALL OF RESIDENCE (BTECH FRESHERS) FALGUNI HALL OF RESIDENCE (BTECH 2nd, 3rd and 4th yr boys) DEBABRATA HALL OF RESIDENCE (BTECH 2nd, 3rd and 4th yr boys as well as Mtech boys). And there are 2 girls hostel: URMILA (1st yr girls) VAIDEHI (2nd, 3rd and 4th yr girls)

Overall Parala Maharaja Engineering College (P.M.E.C), Berhampur came into existence in the year 2009 on April 26th, as a constituent Government Engineering College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, India with an area of nearly 80 acres. Now this college acts as an Government Autonomous college affiliated to BPUT, Odisha from year 2021. This college is one of the premier technical institute in the state and is funded by the Government of Odisha. It has 8 B.Tech programmes and 5 M.Tech programmes with 10 departments. Also, now it has a Nodal Center of Research under BPUT to conduct Ph.D. programmes. The main objective of the institution is to produce quality technocrats in various streams . Campus life is very good in this college. The campus is full of greenery . The garden is very beautiful and well maintained which is in front of the main building alobg with a big statue of the the king PARALA . On which the name of the institute was given . There a lot of monkeys inside the campus. There is one 4 storey central library present inside the campus which is inaugurated this year ,all types of books are available inthe central library.There is one refernce room inside the college main building ehre you will get PC and internet service to study . There are a lot of events organised such as SHAURYA (SPORTS EVENT), And EXUBERNACE ANNUAL fest which is organised every year. There are a lot of clubs such as SANSKRUTI CLUB, IMAGICS CLUB , SHADOWS CLUB, CADENCE CLUB, ROBOSTRICS CLUB, ABHUYUDAYA CLUB . Sports like Badminton, volley , cricket, football , kabaddi and kho kho are organised

Overall Our college area is 182 acer .This is located around green atmosphere which is peaceful.This college is situated 12 km far from berhampur city. Transport facility is good.I enjoying my time.Every year annual function for 3 days , annual sports any many programs conducts by college. College has many clubs for dancing, singing, robotics, NSS, heritage,photography, Coding, Art etc.

Placement Placement performance is not so good.Only 40 percentage students gets placement.The highest package is 6 Lakh per annum and average package is 3.5 lakh per annum.Many software and core companies visited every year.

Infrastructure Infrastructure is good.All facilities is available in this college.All departments has their own labarotry for separate subject.All classrooms has separate smart board.one college building,2 workshop, canteen,bank,play grond, garden, utility block is present.

Faculty All faculties are highly educated and experienced.All faculties is supportive any thing related to study, higher education,job.many faculties is strict and kind heart.Some faculties teaching technique is boring.

Hostel Hostel facility is good. Hostel fees per year is nearly 55000.Per day 3 times food provided (morning tiffin, Lunch, dinner). Weekly 2 time nonveg is scheduled.3 boys and 2 girls hostel is present in campus.

Placement The placement of this college is not so much good. U should prefer off campus placement for good placement. the highest placement rate is 10lpa and the average placement rate is 4lpa approx.

Infrastructure The total area of this college is about 180 acres containing central library, college, hostel,open stage for cultural event, utility utility block, well facilities lab contained in this college.

Faculty The overall faculty is average some are very cooperative or some are not. According to my opinion the faculty is below average. some are very supportive and gentle in nature but some are very rude.

Hostel The hostel facility is average of this college.there are three boys hostel and two girls hostel of total students population is approximately two thousand.the food of hostel is mediocre and there are more then fifty rooms and in one room two students are stay. From the three hostel the junior and senior hostel are separated that's why no ragging is occured

Overall Parala maharaja of engineering College is good college situated at south odisha.and a government college under odisha govt.you can admission through ojee or jee main also.

Infrastructure Infrastructure is pretty big, good for a studying environment and all the facilities are available, like equipment, etc., for the respective departments. Hostel facilities are okay but the food available in the mess and canteen could have been better and regarding sports and games, maybe it'd be better if our college could focus on more curriculum activities too.

Faculty Teachers are good and teach in English,Hindi as well Oriya sometimes.Best course is provided to makeready forplacement. Attendace is required 80 percent. Exam difficulty is moderate.The lab experiment iscompulsory to do.

Hostel There are e boys hostel.that are Ekalabya hall of residence and falguni hall of residence and debabrata hall of residence.the best campus ever.there also girls hostel.

Placement Overall Approximately 90% students were placed in my college e. Highest package was 7 lac and lowest package was 1.8 lac PA. More than 95% students got internship from my course from the company like IREL,SAIL,CSIR, TATA, IOCL other IITsetc.

Infrastructure The classroom facilities was awesome with excellent and easily accessible lab and library facilities. Surroundings and environment of Campus is so good.

Faculty I got the best teachers in my course, they are so helpful with brilliant minds. Their teaching quality is the best thing I ever experienced in my student life. Teachers are very supportive and friendly.

Hostel Staying facilities in hostel is good with no other disturbances. Food quality is in medium range and high security is there. Have a fixed in time for girls and environment is really peaceful.

Overall The college campus us great . each field can foster a strong sense of community , you will be surrounded by people who are going through similar experience , challenges , and celebrating similar successses.

Hostel As the college has already seen a decade , it has total 5 hostels with 2 hostels outside of the college . Good hospitality environment .

Overall To pursue a btech degree in Parala maharaja engineering college Berhampur, aspiring candidates must meet a certain eligibility criteria. Firstly they should have completed their higher secondary education (+2) with a minimum aggregate score 45% in physics chemistry and mathematics, additionally candidates should qualified the joint entrance examination or Odisha joint entrance examination. Admissions are offer based on merit obtained by these examination. Candidates are also can get admission in TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) by a good rank. Diploma holder candidates can also get admission by Odisha joint entrance examination (ojee).
