SSN College of Engineering campus has an area of 712 acres which includes world-class facilities and a residential setting with sylvan surroundings. SSN infrastructure is impressive and attractive with all the facilities. The campus of SSN College of Engineering Chennai has a stunning building with state-of-the-art computer and internet facilities, modern workshops, seminar halls, auditoriums, well-stocked libraries, sports and gymnasium. Sports infrastructure has an area for both indoor and outdoor games.

Co-curricular activities are also carried out by associations and professional bodies to amplify the technical knowledge of the students. There are well-maintained fields for cricket, football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and athletics and many more. There is an indoor stadium with international standards for basketball, badminton, table tennis and squash racket and air-conditioned gyms. SSN has music & fine arts club so that people can participate in various cultural events and can hone their talents.

Apart from that, musical instruments such as a keyboard, veena, miruthangam etc are also available. The college also has a literary club, which conducts several programs like debate, group discussion and elocution to enhance the student’s speaking skills in general and in public. SSN library has a huge collection of books with a catalogue of over 84000 volumes and 2000 titles and an online journal database. The library also stocks around 206 national and 114 international journals.

SSN provides hostel facilities for both male and female with well-furnished rooms. SSN has transportation facilities available for students and staff.

At the Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering Chennai campus, the students can be a part of various clubs which imparts certain life skills to the students which they can use for the rest of their lives. There are in total 37 clubs at SSN CE such as Association of Electronics and Communication Engineers (AECE), Association of Chemical Engineers (ACE), Association of Civil Engineers (ACE-CIVIL) and many more.

The hostels are convenient, comfortable homes away from home with spacious rooms and ample storage. Internet access, via w-fi or wired connections, keeps our students plugged into online educational resources.

Each hostel building is designed to be an independent unit with its own kitchen, dining hall, reading room/library, television and telephone facilities.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls.

The Music & Fine Arts Club members participate in various cultural events and bring laurels to the Institution. All necessary facilities, including musical instruments such as Keyboard, Veena, Miruthangam etc are available for the students to hone their talents. The club also organizes regular singing, dancing and music competitions.

Literary club is very active in SSN. It conducts programmes both in Tamil & English. It caters to the enhancement of language skills. The Club conducts several programmes like debate, group discussion and elocution to initiate its members into speaking skills in general and public speaking in particular. Competitions are also held in various items for individual departments in order to involve as many students as possible.

National Service Scheme (NSS) is a permanent youth programme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and funded by Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India in the ratio of 5:7.
 

An entrepreneurial spirit can aid even the most academically accomplished student to go that extra mile in realising their dreams. Entrepreneurial skills are best inculcated from one’s student days onwards, and SSN firmly believes a complete education includes this kind of orientation. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at SSN Institutions was established with a vision of fostering innovation and promoting entrepreneurial skills among SSN students.
