ANM Vs GNM Vs BSc Nursing: Which is the Best Course for You?

ANM and GNM are diploma degrees in the field of Nursing, whereas BSc Nursing is an undergraduate degree course. All three courses cater to the field of nursing and healthcare. ANM GNM full form is Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery and General Nursing Midwifery. To shed some light on the differences between ANM, GNM, and BSc Nursing courses, the ANM course typically emphasizes training students about basic healthcare, nursing facilities, etc. Whereas the GNM course is skill-based and trains students to assist doctors and surgeons in post-surgical patient healthcare and cater to related requirements. As for the BSc Nursing course, students are offered an in-depth knowledge of various aspects of Nursing, along with extensive knowledge about patient care and community medicine.

The basic difference between ANM and GNM is the course duration and the structure. The ANM Nursing course lasts for 2 years and focuses on theoretical knowledge, whereas the GNM Nursing course duration lasts 3.5 years and equips students with the skills required to tend to post-surgical patients, thus emphasizing practical knowledge. In terms of career prospects, GNM graduates have a higher chance of securing high-end nursing jobs at established hospitals when compared to ANM course graduates. However, if we compare GNM vs BSc Nursing, then BSc Nursing graduates are given preference over the former. BSc Nursing students can even opt to go for higher studies, or they can choose to work as Nursing supervisors. Toughest NEET Papers (2013-2025): Analysis & Strategy for NEET 2026

Identifying the toughest NEET papers requires looking beyond raw scores to analyse analytical depth and rank inflation. Historically, NEET 2016 (Phase 1) and NEET 2022 are benchmarks for difficulty. This was due to complex Physics and lengthy, assertion-reasoning Biology. However, the landscape shifted in NEET 2024, where the challenge wasn't just the questions but the unprecedented competition and high-scoring density. As we look toward the NEET 2026 exam, the NTA is moving away from rote memorisation toward a Logic-Complex format.
This means that while papers remain NCERT-centric, the application of concepts is becoming more intricate. To rank high, you must treat previous tough years' papers as your self-performance analysis papers rather than just practice tests. Good scores in NEET 2026 demand a shift toward mastering high-speed accuracy and conceptual integration. This ensures you are prepared for both a high-difficulty technical paper and the tactical pressures of extreme rank competition. So, if you are eager to know more about the toughest NEET papers, then you can go through the top 5 toughest papers, subject-wise difficulty trends, etc.

Dear Student,

While there is no separate seat reservation for the Muslim Minority quota in NEET MCC registrations, students can still participate in the NEET 2025 Counselling for admission under this criterion. During the counselling registration process, you will have to select the “minority quota” and choose colleges that specifically offer admission through the Muslim Minority quota. You may mention the particulars under the “minority quota” seat reservation for a better interpretation. A few colleges offering NEET MBBS admission under the Muslim minority quota are Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences, Katihar Medical College, and Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, among others.
