IIT Kharagpur will be the official conducting body for GATE 2022. The exam date of GATE 2022 is February 5, 6, 12 & 13. The official notification and registration dates will be confirmed soon.
IIT Bombay has officially announced that the all exam process of GATE 2021 has successfully been concluded, and the responsibility to conduct GATE 2022 has been handed over to IIT Kharagpur . To put it simply, IIT Kharagpur will be the official conducting body of GATE 2022 on February 5, 6, 12 & 13. The entrance exam is conducted for M.Tech admission in various government & private colleges across the country. The score of GATE is also acceptable for PSU recruitment. Usually, GATE is conducted at the first/ second weekend of February every year.

IIT Kharagpur is expected to release the official notification for GATE 2022 in July, and the online registration is likely to begin in the first or second week of September 2021. The notification for GATE is released almost 7 months in advance so that the aspirants get enough time for the preparation.

Changes Introduced in Previous Year of GATE Exam
In 2021, a few changes were implemented in the GATE exam , which will also be applicable for the 2022 exam. Candidates who are pursuing 3rd-year B.Tech are eligible to appear for the exam. This will help aspirants to improve their preparation. Two new subjects, i.e., Environmental Science and Arts & Humanities were introduced in 2021. Each aspirant will be allowed to choose at least two papers in the GATE exam.
