IGNOU Placements 2023

IGNOU placement data for the year 2023 has not yet been published by the authorities. The placement details from the previous years have been provided for reference. The most recent IGNOU placement drive was conducted on February 15, 2023. The IGNOU placement package provided to the students ranges from Rs 20,000 to as high as Rs 30,000, with incentives.

The organisations that participated in the IGNOU recruitment drive were Air India SATS and APTARA. They offered job roles as Customer Service Executives, Copy Editors and Technical Writers. The placement drive was conducted at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre on the Maidan Garhi Campus of Indira Gandhi National Open University. Other than this, the overall IGNOU placement rate was recorded around 70% to 80%. A dedicated placement cell conducts the drives and provides its students with placement opportunities.

IGNOU Placement Cell

The placement cell at Indira Gandhi National Open University is called the Campus Placement Cell (CPC). It was created in 2005 at the IGNOU headquarters to simplify the process of employment for its diverse student population across the country. All the IGNOU University placement related operations are conducted here. It provides job opportunities to students as well as IGNOU alumni.

Indira Gandhi National Open University provides courses that enable students to become job ready. The CPC provides support to visiting employers at all stages of the IGNOU placement process by making resources available to them. At the headquarters, regional centres, study centres, and company sites, the CPC organises various job fairs, placement & recruitment drives, and employability enhancement programmes. Indira Gandhi National Open University is accredited by NAAC with an “A+” grade. Established in 1985, the university offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MBA, MCom etc. are some of the popular courses offered by the university. IGNOU admissions are done on merit and entrance exam basis. The university is one of the best universities in India for distance education. IGNOU fee structure is very affordable and reasonable.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University was set up in 1985. It is a central distance-learning university which offers flexible and quality education in disciplines like arts, commerce, science, computers, nutrition, etc. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Distance Education Council (DEC). According to UNESCO, it is one of the largest central distance learning institutions in the country which is accredited by the NAAC as well. IGNOU stands for the Indira Gandhi National Open University. It was set up in 1985 and is one of the largest central distance-learning universities in India. The university offers distance education and works on the Online Distance Learning (ODL) model in a variety of streams like arts, commerce, education, computers, etc. The IGNOU admission process is based on merit for most of the courses. However, for some courses like B.Ed and MBA, the university conducts its own entrance test. The teaching-learning process at IGNOU is flexible and students can cover the syllabus on their own suitable time slots.

The university provides study materials to the students through multiple channels.
