Overall: Jadavpur University has really proved to be the best place to study architecture. With state-of-the-art training materials, trending layouts, and other things, learning was quite interesting. Plus, the best faculty was there to support and teach us all the aspects related to architecture. Various events were organized to help students get an industrial experience.
Placement: With a great placement cell working rigorously for the benefit of students, Jadavpur University has been offering great placement opportunities for the students. Right from inviting leading organizations to arranging industrial visits, seminars and guest lectures, the placement cell called in over 100 companies last year with around 83% students getting successful placements.
Infrastructure: Right from high speed Wi-Fi connectivity to well-furnished practical labs, Jadavpur University caters to all the needs of students perfectly. The overall campus is well-maintained and comprises of a library, health centre, guest house, sport facilities, and hostels.
Faculty: What I really like about the university was its faculty. Even though I had the chance to interact with faculty members of other streams, everyone is very helpful and also well-experienced in their respective subjects. The professors of my stream are very supportive and offer additional help to students who are lacking behind others.
Hostel: I had to opt for the hostel facilities as daily travelling for around 2 to 2.5 hours was not an easy task for me. Luckily the hostel facility offered by Jadavpur University proved to be much better than I expected. The rooms are regularly cleaned and disinfected. The rooms have all the amenities that are needed for daily usage. The canteen food is good and students have the option to pay and eat from the menu, along with the regular meals.
