Factors Affecting BPSC Prelims Cutoff 2025

The cutoff marks are usually affected by various factors that come into play. These are:

  • The total number of students who have appeared in the exam.

  • The number of vacancies in the relevant year of admission. If the number of seats available is higher than the previous year, the competition level will be lower. This means that the cutoff will be lower as a result.

  • The difficulty level of the exam will also determine the category-wise qualifying marks.

  • If the majority of students perform well in the exam, the cutoff can be increased.

  • The reservation of seats also impacts the cutoff for the overall exam.

  • The normalisation process in the BPSC exam is also responsible for deciding the cutoff marks for all student categories.

In a gist, the 71st BPSC Prelims Cutoff 2025 is likely to go lower this year. According to the last few years’ trends, the cutoff has been decreasing for all student categories due to an increase in the number of seat vacancies. The final cutoff marks will be out along with the exam results.
