To apply for Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil admissions 2019 the interested candidates will have to fill an application form. The application form for Anna University can be submitted online. No offline medium for submission of forms is available. Here is a step by step guide to fill the Anna University M.S and M. Phil admission form 2019:

  • Go to the official website of Anna University
  • Correctly fill up the necessary details in the application form for M.Sc/M.Phil
  • Upload a good quality passport size photograph of yourself. The photograph must be recently taken.
  • Scan and upload the self-attested photocopies of the documents that are required by the University for M.Sc or M.Phil.
  • Scan and upload a copy of your (the candidate’s) signature
  • Complete the application process by making the payment of the application fee. The candidates who fall under the category of General will have to pay Rs.700, while those who fall under the SC / SCA / ST category will only have to pay Rs.350

Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil Application Fee 2019 is Rs.700 (for the general category). However, SC / SCA / ST candidates who belong to Tamil Nadu only have to pay Rs. 350. The Anna University application fee can be paid in online mode via Netbanking.

Documents Required for Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil Admissions 2019

For the purposes of admission, the documents required for Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil Admissions 2019 will have to be uploaded online along with the application form. The student must also ensure that the documents required by Anna University for M.Sc and M.Phil Admissions 2019 are self-attested as well.

Here are the required documents for M.Sc admissions at Anna University:

  1. Class 10 Mark Sheet
  2. Class 12 Mark Sheet
  3. Provisional Degree Certificate or Degree Certificate. Candidates will have to upload a legitimate certificate from the Head of Institution of the candidate’s place of study. The Candidate can also upload the Examination Hall Certificate of the final year examination that the student is appearing for at the University he/she is currently studying at.
  4. Mark Sheets of all the semesters of the completed qualifying examinations.
  5. If Applicable, Community Certificate in card format or digitally signed e-certificate / electronic form. This is valid for candidates who fall under the categories of BC, MBC, BC Muslim, DNC and SC / SC (Arunthathiyars) and ST applicants belonging from the state of Tamil Nadu.
  6. Physically Challenged applicants will have to submit a Medical Certificate.
  7. If Applicable, Nativity Certificate for those students who belong to Tamil Nadu but completed their Graduation/Post Graduation from outside of Tamil Nadu. The certificate will only be applicable if it is submitted in electronic form or digitally signed e-Certificate.
  8. For M.Phil Admissions only - Provisional Degree Certificate or PG Degree Certificate. Candidates will have to upload a legitimate certificate from the Head of Institution of the candidate’s place of study. The Candidate can also upload the Examination Hall Certificate of the final year examination that the student is appearing for at the University he/she is currently studying at.

Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil Selection Process 2019

The applicants are selected via the entrance examination that is held by the University. The Anna University M.Sc selection process begins with a 2-hour entrance examination. The examination for subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geology and Media Science as based on the B.Sc (Major) Standard. For selection to the M.Phil course at Anna University, candidates will have to appear in a 1-hour examination that will be held for subjects like Physics/Medical Physics, Chemistry, English, Crystal Science, Mathematics, Applied Geology. The examination for both M.Sc and M.Phil examination will take place at Anna University, Chennai.

If the student is eligible to appear for the examination after the verification process, a Hall Ticket will be made against the name of the candidate for the examination. The hall ticket will be available at the Anna University Official website. The student is advised to go to the inquiry office at the Center for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai. The selected applicant must also ensure that they are carrying a self-attested photograph of themselves. The photograph needs to be self-attested as well.

The Entrance examination Hall ticket is required to be provided by the applicant on the day of admission.

Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil Counselling Process 2019

The Anna University M.Sc and M.Phil Counseling process will be applicable for those students who satisfy the merit list. The marks obtained by the applicant in the entrance examination will be the major basis for being selected for the counselling process for M.Sc and M.Phil at Anna University Chennai.

The candidates must download the call letter from the official website of Anna University. The candidates will have to appear for the counselling process with the required orginal documents mentioned by the University. If the applicant fails to appear for the counselling session, it will result in automatic cancellation of admission for that particular candidate. If two or more candidates get the same marks in the entrance examination, the applicant with a higher average percentage of marks that the applicant has obtained in all of his/her qualifying examinations or average marks obtained till the final semester will be given preference.

The candidates will also have to put an initial deposit of Rs.5,000 through online payment mode, before appearing for the counselling session.

This course at Daying Ering College of Teacher Education is a regular programme with a course duration of two years. The total seat intake of the BEd course at the institute is 100. To get admission in this course, you must have completed graduation or equivalent from any stream with at least 50% marks or above from a recognised university. The degree is provided by Rajiv Gandhi University for the BEd course from this institute.
