Typically the ground staff is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers that including checking in all the baggage, providing information, helping disabled passengers, selling tickets, and confirming reservations. Ground crew in airports are an integral part of the aviation industry and they possess skills such as the ability to plan and organize that allows them to function in a time-sensitive environment, soft skills for effective communication, etc. The average salary of airport ground staff is 2.5 lakhs per annum.
