The bank has recently released a notification for Specialist Officer posts. Through this recruitment drive, around 350 regular vacancies are being filled for the posts of Foreign Exchange Officer (Scale III) and Marketing Officer / Assistant Manager (Scale I).

As per the dates provided by the bank, the online application process is open from January 20 to February 3, 2026, on the official website of the Central Bank of India. If selected, you will be appointed on a regular basis and receive a salary and benefits as per 7th CPC norms. Eligibility Criteria for Central Bank of India Recruitment 2026

You can apply for CBI Bank Recruitment 2026 if you are:

  • An Indian citizen, or

  • A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan

  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 and plans to settle here permanently

  • A person of Indian Origin who has migrated from certain countries and wants to permanently settle in India

Make sure your age falls within the required range as mentioned in the notification:

  • Marketing Officer: 22 to 30 years

  • Foreign Exchange Officer: 25 to 35 years

    • Graduation in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE-recognised university (full-time)
    • A mandatory Foreign Exchange Operations certificate from IIBF
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, with at least 3 years in Trade Finance, Forex operations, or IBU-GIFT City

    Note: Experience from NBFCs, RRBs, Cooperative Banks, or Insurance companies is generally not considered, so you should verify this carefully before applying.

    Marketing Officer (Scale I)

    • Graduation from a UGC/AICTE-recognised university
    • A 2-year full-time MBA/PGDM/PGDBM/PGPM/PGDBA with specialization in Marketing
    • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 1 year in a continuous marketing role in the BFSI sector
    • You must be currently working in a marketing role at the time of application

    Selection Process for Central Bank of India Recruitment 2026

    The selection for CBI recruitment is conducted in two stages:

    1. The first step will be an Online Written Test, which is referred to as CWE. The exam will consist of objective questions based on the sections like Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge. These will be in accordance with the post you have applied.

    2. In case you pass the written test, you will get to the Interview round. A final list of merit will be prepared based on your cumulative performance in the online test and the interview.
