Gujarat University Master of Science (M.Sc) admission process for the academic session 2020-22 has started. B.Sc graduates from reputed universities all across India as well as Gujarat University B.Sc graduates are taking part in the Gujarat University M.Sc admission process 2020. The online PIN distribution process concluded on the 07th of November and the online registrations also concluded on the 10th of November at 11:59 PM. The provisional M.Sc admission merit list was released on 23rd November and the final merit list on 27th November 2020. After the declaration of the final merit list, the seat allotment process will begin.

During the preparation of the Gujarat University M.Sc admission merit list, the officials consider the marks secured by the applicants in their -

  • Vth and VIth semester (for 3-year UG degree holders)

  • VIIth and VIIIth semester (for 4-year UG degree holders)

  • Final Year (applicants belonging to the yearly exam pattern institutions)

The university also has a tried and tested tie-breaker policy for applicants stuck with equivalent merit marks. The tie-breaker rules have been discussed below in descending sequence -

  1. Candidate with a higher final year or final two semesters aggregate score is given priority

  2. Candidate with a higher final year or final two semesters external aggregate score is given priority

  3. Candidate with a higher external aggregate score in his/her second last semester is given priority

  4. Candidate with a higher mark in English subject at the qualifying level is given priority (theory mark is considered for those candidates who did not study English subject at the qualifying level but the medium of instruction was English)

  5. Candidate older in age is given priority
