IGNOU UG and PG Admission Important Dates 2019

The upcoming academic admission drive of IGNOU is July Session which is one of the two sessions of the academic calendar of a single year. The Indira Gandhi National Open University takes admission in two sessions which are July Session and January Session. Currently, the July Admission Drive 2019 at IGNOU is ongoing. IGNOU UG and PG Admission Application Process 2019 - Online Method

The students can register themselves for 2019 admissions in IGNOU July Session by Online Application Process. Following are the steps which are needed to be followed for registering online for UG and PG courses at IGNOU.

  • The candidate must first visit the IGNOU official website which is http://www.ignou.ac.in/

  • In the website, the student should find out a drop-down menu named ‘Register Online’ just below the title bar

  • Under that Register Online Menu, the candidate must click on ‘Fresh Registration’ which will take the candidate to the admission subpage

  • In the page, the candidate must click on ‘Register Yourself.’ After clicking on that, the candidate must fill up a form which asks the following credentials,

    • Name of the Applicant

    • Father/Mother/Husband’s Name

    • Date of Birth

    • Gender

    • E-Mail ID

    • Mobile Number

    • User ID (The candidate has to make a unique User ID for him/her, he/she can also check the availability of the USER ID by clicking on the ‘Check’ button given beside the blank space.

    • Password (The Candidate has to create a confidential password which will be used to log in into his/her account along with the User ID)

    • Confirm Password (The candidate must provide the password again for verification)

    • Captcha Code (A code will be displayed below which the candidate has to input again, this is for the human verification purpose)

Following the above-mentioned steps will cause a successful account creation in the IGNOU Admission Portal for UG PG courses. After that, the candidate has to apply into his preference of UG/PG courses using the account, the steps for making Applications for UG/PG Course admissions in IGNOU are as follows,

  • The candidate should click on ‘Login’ button beside the Existing User notification from the homepage of Online admission Portal and then log in with the UserName and password created before by the candidate.

  • Then, the students have to fill their personal details, programme details, qualification, course details and correspondence details. In the form. In such cases where the subject selection of the student does not tally with the subjects mentioned, the student must click on ‘Other.’

  • For the students who have completed their bachelor's degree studies, must write ‘9999’ in the board selection section for applying in UG or PG Courses.

  • The candidates will then have to upload the documents required for applying in IGNOU. The list of Documents is given below.

  • After submitting the form, the candidate will be redirected to the payment gateway where they have to submit the fees of application through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking Methods.

IGNOU UG and PG Admission Application Process 2019 - Offline Method

The students can also opt for offline admissions in UG and PG Courses of IGNOU in 2019-20 Academic session, the offline application process for 2019 admissions in IGNOU are as follows,

  • The candidate has to visit any of his/her nearest regional centres

  • Buy the prospectus and learn about the programmes

  • Issue a Demand Draft in favour of IGNOU for application fee payment

  • Acquire the form for application

  • Submit the duly filled form in the regional centre

  • The confirmation of application will come via post, message or E-Mail from IGNOU within 45 Business Days
