NIT Trichy ITEP Selection List 2025

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, offers B.Sc B.Ed course (Secondary Stage) admission with one major in Education and the other in any of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Once the application process is over on July 24, the institute will release the NIT Trichy ITEP 2025 1st admission list on its website on August 4, 2025. After this Round 2 admission list is released, the Round 3 list will be released if there are any vacant seats.

Only the candidates who have cleared the National Common Entrance Test (NCET), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), can participate in the NIT Trichy ITEP admission 2025.

• Students have to submit the B.Sc B.Ed course application online at the NITT Samarth Portal.
• A non-refundable fee has to be paid at the time of submitting the application form.

Admission to the ITEP course will be based on the NCET 2025 total score secured by the candidate in all seven subjects (e.g. Languages 1 and 2, Teaching Aptitude, General Test and three relevant Domain-specific Subjects) covering four different sections. If a candidate is absent from the NCET Test of any of the seven subjects, they will not be considered for NIT Trichy ITEP admission.

Based on the choice that an applicant has made in the ITEP application form, they will be considered for the Disciplinary Major at NIT Trichy ITEP admission 2025. The institution usually takes 3 rounds of counselling; however, if more vacant seats are available, further counselling rounds will be conducted. The applicants who receive offers in one of the counselling rounds need to visit the NITT Samarth Portal and pay the seat acceptance fee within the deadline.

• The Round 1 NIT Trichy ITEP 2025 merit list will be released based on the preference given by you at the time of application form filling and the score in NCET 2025.
• The students are requested to visit the NITT Samarth portal and check their result status.
• The seat acceptance fee has to be paid by the candidates whose names appear in the 1st merit list by logging into the candidate portal.
• After the Round 1 counselling is over, if there are vacant seats, the 2nd Admission List will be released. You can check your seat allocation result from the portal.
• Like the first round, in this round, the candidates who are offered seats have to visit the candidate portal and pay the seat acceptance fee before the last date.
• One more round of counselling will be conducted if there are vacant seats after Round 2 counselling. The 3rd Admission List will be released on the portal.
• If you have been offered seats in the 3rd round of counselling, you need to log in to the candidate portal and pay the seat acceptance fee.
• The students also have the option of cancelling their seats by logging into the candidate portal and selecting the ‘Withdraw’ option. They can exercise this option till the end of the Round 2 counselling. The seat acceptance fee will also be refunded for such candidates after deducting Rs. 1,000 as the processing fee.
• After the final round of counselling, NIT Trichy will release the offer letters, which can be downloaded from the candidate portal. The applicants who have been offered seats must report to the institute with the required documents.

• The student should pass the Class XII (Higher Secondary) examination or equivalent from a recognised board of exams in India.
• They must have passed their Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the domain subjects in the NCET conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• Foreign nationals with an Indian education are eligible to apply, subject to the policy of the Institute.
• The GEN/ GEN-EWS/ OBC-NCL category applicants should have passed their 12th with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• The SC/ ST/ PwD category students should have passed their Class 12th with 50% or above aggregate marks.
• A candidate should have appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2022, 2023 or 2024, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Age relaxation of 5 years is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
• The applicant must have passed the NCET 2025 examination conducted by the NTA.
• Proof of having passed Class 12th and having secured requisite marks must be submitted at the time of applying. Original documents must be furnished to NIT Trichy at the time of admission.
