IIT Kharagpur placements 2024 have started. A total of 61 companies have participated in the placements, offering 700 job opportunities to the graduating students. Out of these, 19 were international offers, while the remaining were domestic. The highest package so far has been secured by a student from the Computer Science branch, who received an offer of Rs 1 crore per annum. Six other students have also received packages of Rs 1 crore per annum. The average package for the year 2024 is yet to be revealed by IIT Kharagpur.

In the IIT Kharagpur placements of 2023 a total of 1,821 students were placed, with 1,600 offers being made. The highest package in 2023 was Rs 2.68 crore per year. The average package for the Master of Human Resource Management was Rs 15.45 LPA during the IIT Kharagpur placement drive. The college was visited by various MNCs, domestic, and startup companies. Dear student, The IIT Kharagpur does offer Joint MSc PhD Programmes in Molecular Medical Microbiology, Medical Physics, and Nuclear Medicine. These courses are offered under the Head School of Medical Science and Technology. Currently, the Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine courses at IIT Kharagpur are paused because the courses have pending Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) approval.
