The National Institutional Ranking Framework released the NIRF rankings for the year 2025 on September 4, on the official website, nirfindia.org. In the overall category, 17 Indian Institue of Technology (s) have made it to the list of top IIT colleges; IIT Roorkee moved up to 7th position, and IIT Indore moved up 6 places from 33rd to 27th position this year. WB Govt. Appoints IIT Kharagpur to prepare Safety SoP for Durga Puja: With UNESCO’s recognition serving as a catalyst, Durga Puja—the grandest public art celebration in the world—is preparing to take a transformative step towards inclusivity and safety. BSF and IIT Khargapur Collaborate to Develop Indigenous Drones: The Border Security Force (BSF) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) to develop advanced drone technologies. This collaboration aims to enhance the BSF's capabilities in drone forensics, counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, research and development, and training. The agreement was signed by BSF's Inspector General (ICT), Maninder Pratap Singh Pawar, and IIT-K's Dean of Research and Development, Prof Tarun Gupta, in the presence of BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary.

IIT Kharagpur's IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter is offering a remote internship in AI and ML as part of its Summer Internship Programme 2025. IIT Kharagpur GATE Cutoff 2025 - The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will commence the IIT KGP M.Tech admissions soon. IIT Kharagpur MTech admission will be done through a GATE score followed by COAP counselling. The IIT Kharagpur GATE 2025 cutoff will be released during the COAP counselling process at the IIT Kharagpur official website; iitkgp.ac.in. The IIT Kharagpur GATE cutoff 2025 is the minimum mark students must score to get admission at IIT Kharagpur. These are admission cutoffs that are released by respective participating colleges. The GATE qualifying cutoff is the marks students must score to pass the exam. The expected IIT Kharagpur MTech cutoff 2025 for General category Students is 615 to 620; for the EWC is 545 to 550; for OBC is 526 to 531; for SC  is 426 to 432; and for ST applicants is 340 to 345.
