IIT Mandi Scholarships 2024 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

IIT Mandi offers scholarships to the candidates taking admission into the institute. The scholarships of IIT Mandi are provided on the basis of merit and category of the candidates. The scholarship provided by IIT Mandi is awarded for various courses like B.Tech, M.Sc (Chemistry/ Mathematics), M.Tech/ MS and PhD etc. The scholarships are provided to the candidates based on their academic performance in their qualifying degree. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of the scholarship are required to fill applications and give their academic details for the availability of the scholarship and only such candidates are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The various scholarships that are offered by IIT Mandi are as follows:

• HTRA Scholarship
• Institute Scholarship
• Merit cum means Scholarship
• Central Sector Scholarship (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment)

The HTRA scholarship is offered to M.S., M.Tech., and PhD Students/Scholars. The Merit cum means scholarship is offered to General & OBC candidates for B.Tech, M.Sc (Chemistry/ Mathematics) course. The Institute Scholarship is available for SC/ST candidates for B.Tech, M.Sc (Chemistry/ Mathematics) course and the Central Sector Scholarship (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment) scholarship is available to Scheduled Caste category candidates for B.Tech course.

Merit Cum Mean Scholarship for IIT Mandi  B.Tech students

To qualify for the IIT Mandi Merit-cum-Means scholarship the student should meet the following criteria :

• The candidates CGPA must be 6.00 or more
• Earned credits should be more than 18 times the number of semesters registered for. (This criterion is not applicable on first year students)
• SGPA in the previous semester must be 6.0 or more
• The student should have passed all previous examinations and should not have any backlog or Fail grades.
• Should not have any records of unfair means/indiscipline

Merit Cum Mean Scholarship for IIT Mandi M.Sc/MA students

To qualify for the IIT Mandi Merit-cum-Means scholarship the student should meet the following criteria :

• Scholarship is awarded to eligible and selected candidates from the second semester onwards.
• The candidates CGPA must be 6.00 or more
• The student should have cleared all previous examinations and should not have any backlog or fail grades
• Should not have any records of unfair means/indiscipline
• Thos students whose annual family income from all sources is upto Rs.4.50 lakhs are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

IIT Mandi Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment ) are available for the students. The ones who are willing to apply need to visit the official website for the form and details.

SC/ST Students can avail the benefits of National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education through the National Scholarship Portal.
