Lovely Professional University (LPU) Admission 2026

Lovely Professional University (LPU) admissions for 2026 are now open for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral programs. LPU is accepting applications through the LPUNEST 2026 (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). Candidates must register online via the official LPU admission portal to participate in the ongoing Phase 3 admission cycle.

LPU University offers over 150 programs across engineering, management, law, agriculture, and design. LPU admission is conducted primarily through the LPUNEST exam, which serves as both an entrance test and a scholarship evaluation. The university also accepts scores of national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CAT, MAT, and CUET for selected courses. To apply for admission at LPU, students must visit the LPU admission website, complete the application form, pay the registration fee, book a slot for the LPUNEST exam, and participate in counselling for seat allotment.

LPU PG Eligibility Criteria

For LPU PG admission 2026, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a relevant discipline with at least 50% or 60% marks in aggregate. LPUNEST is mandatory for admission to all PG programmes at LPU, while the university also accepts scores of national-level entrance exam such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, GMAT, GATE, NIMCET, CUET PG, CLAT PG, depending on the programme.

Note: 

• Lateral entry to BTech (2nd year) is open to candidates with a Diploma in Engineering, B.Sc. (PCM), or BCA holding 60% aggregate.
•  Lateral entry to BCA, BBA, and B.Com is available to diploma holders meeting subject-specific norms. 
• International candidates must additionally meet the LPU English Language Requirement (IELTS 6.5 overall, with no band below 6.0).

The LPU admission process 2026 is completely online and includes six steps from registration to seat confirmation. Admission to most programmes at LPU is based LPUNEST for both eligibility and scholarship. Candidates who appeared for respective national-level entrance examinations for admission to few courses must appear for LPUNEST to get the scholarship. Some postgraduate programs, like the MBA, involve an additional personal interview round. Step-by-step process for how to get admission in LPU is as follows:

• Online Registration: Create an account on the LPUADMIT portal at admission.lpu.in . Enter personal details, contact information, and select the desired program.
• Application Form Submission: Fill out the detailed LPU application form. Provide academic history and upload a recent photograph and signature.
• Application Fee Payment: Pay the LPUNEST application of INR 1,000 for the soft-copy LPUNEST Kit or INR 1,500 for the printed kit, fee using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
• Slot Booking: Log in to the portal and book a preferred date and time for the LPUNEST examination. Students can choose a remote proctored exam or a test center-based exam.
• Appear for LPUNEST: Take the LPUNEST exam on the scheduled date.
• Result Declaration: Check the exam result and scholarship status on the designated date.
• Online Counselling and Preference Filling: Qualified candidates must participate in online counselling. Fill in the preferences for the desired specialization or campus.
• Seat Allotment: LPU allocates seats based on the LPUNEST rank, candidate preferences, and seat availability.
• Admission Confirmation and Fee Payment: Secure the allotted seat by paying the initial admission fee of INR 10,000. Upload all mandatory academic documents for verification.

Important points for LPU Admission process:

• For LPU MBA admission 2026, candidates are also required to submit a video essay and attend a personal interview after the entrance score is uploaded.
• For LPU BTech CSE admission 2026 under the Type-A route, candidates are also required to take a Knowledge-Quotient (KQ) Test plus an interview. 
•  Candidates who already hold a valid score in JEE Main, CUET, CAT, MAT, NATA, or other accepted exams can skip LPUNEST for admission, but should still consider attempting it for the merit-scholarship benefit.

LPU fees per semester range from INR 50,000 to INR 3,50,000 for B.Sc and BBA to INR 2.20 Lakhs for regular MBA and INR 2.7 Lakhs for specialised MBA (Business Analytics, Fintech, Data Science & AI). Note: All LPU fees listed are tuition fees only. Additional one-time admission fee of INR 10,000 (adjusted against first semester fee), hostel charges, mess charges, and examination fees apply separately. For Global Tech Immersion and International Credit Transfer programmes, an additional INR 50,000 International Transfer Fee is payable with the first semester.

1. Register: Go to the official admission portal of Lovely Professional University (LPU) at admission.lpu.in and create an account using your name, email ID, and active mobile number. Verify the account with the OTP sent to your phone.
2. Fill Details: Log in to your account. Select your desired degree level and course. Fill in your personal details, academic background, and communication address.
3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph, signature, and preliminary academic mark sheets.
4. Pay Fee: Proceed to the payment gateway. Pay the required LPUNEST application fee online. Keep the payment receipt for future reference.
5. Submit Application: Review the filled application form and submit it. Upon submission, a unique application number will be generated.

The application fee for LPU must be paid during the online registration process. The fee structure for the LPUNEST kit differs slightly for soft copy and printed copy options.
