LPU Scholarship - Eligibility Criteria, Types, Amount

LPUNEST fee for 2025 is Rs. 1,000 for both male and female applicants. For those opting for hard copy kits, the fee is Rs. 1,500. There will be five LPU scholarship slabs, providing financial assistance based on various criteria such as academic performance, entrance test scores, and other qualifying examinations.

Important Updates – Financial Aid

• With immediate effect, financial aid (LPU Rakshak Samman Anudan, LPU Shikshak Samman Anudan) stand withdrawn for all programmes, except:
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
  • B.Arch
• Application are also closed in LPURISE, Orphan, Need Based and Person with certain Disability schemes.
• For Type B programmes, the financial aid benefit will remain applicable till 20th August.
• This applies only to applicants who have already submitted their LPUNEST application prior to this announcement.

LPU has introduced a 100% scholarship policy for the academic session 2025-26. This scholarship policy is introduced for students who secure top ranks in India’s most competitive national-level entrance exams. The scholarship is also aimed at high-performing students who gain admission into premier institutions through open merit-based competition and national entrance tests. The LPU 100% Scholarship Policy also extends to board and higher education institutions toppers. More details on this scholarship scheme are given below:

Application Process

• Applications can be submitted either at the time of admission or post-admission, but before the final admission deadline.
• Candidates also need to submit required documents such as :
  • Scholarship Application Form
  • Valid Rank Card (AIR or Scorecard)
  • Offer or Allotment Letter (as applicable)
  • Proof of category (if required)
  • Academic Transcripts & ID Proof
  • Admission Fee Receipt or Enrollment Letter
  • Merit List from Board/ HEI (if applicable)
  • Undertaking for continuation of scholarship benefits

• Any other category explicitly excluded by the University

Important Instructions

• All applications will be reviewed and verified by the Admission Verification Team before final approval and disbursement of scholarship benefits.
• To retain the scholarship in subsequent years, a minimum CGPA of 8.0 must be maintained annually.
• Failure to meet the criteria will lead to a downgrade to a general scholarship bracket, based on other applicable criteria.

LPU Scholarships: Course Specific

LPU University offers a special scholarship scheme on performance in Innovation, Startup, Entrepreneurship & Hackathons. This scholarship is offered to students who would like to continue their pursuit of creative minds. This scholarship is primarily meant to inspire students to follow their dreams.

• Scholarship will be awarded to the students based on achievements in the previous two years.
• Students will be selected on the basis of their achievements at the international/national level.
• Final recommendation for the policy will be given by the selection committee.

Note: Scholarship brackets and/or Phases are not applicable for special scholarship and /or fee concession.

Scholarship Brackets:

For each category, there exists three brackets of Scholarship (Bracket 1, 2 and 3) are defined. Each bracket has its own respective criteria that need to be met for availing the applicable scholarship. Therefore, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket- 1 gets the highest Scholarship and those in Bracket - 2 or 3 get a relatively lesser scholarship.

Scholarship Phases:

Admissions in LPU are done in different Phases, which are bifurcations of the Admission time period. The amount of Scholarship also depends on the Phase in which the candidate takes admission in the University. (Phase – I) starts as early as January 2024 and continues till the end of April 2024. The subsequent phases (Phase-II, III, IV,V) are conducted only if the seats in the concerned Programme remain vacant. The amount of Scholarship reduces with each passing phase and no scholarship is offered in Phase - V (if conducted).

Lovely Professional University work experience-based scholarship is for all MBA programmes. Candidates have to adhere to the following LPU scholarship criteria before applying for the scholarship: 

• The applicant shall have a minimum of 2 years of work experience for the scholarship prior to the application submission. 
• Only Full-time employment shall be accepted for the calculation of work experience. 
• The work experience attained only after meeting graduation shall be counted for this purpose.
• Students shall note that even the full-time internships included in the graduation programme shall not be accepted for the analysis of two years work requirements.
• The work experience is not required to be from a single employer.
• The applicant can propose work experience from distinct employers but at least 6 months of work experience shall be from 1 employer i.e. if the student has worked for less than 6 months with an employer, then the same shall not be considered for the analysis of two years of work experience. 
•  Applicants would be called for a personal interview (PI) to validate the affirmations and documents presented.

LPU Scholarship Details 

Note* For the benefit of the aforementioned categories, students shall have at least 6 months of experience in the organisation. Scholarships will be awarded according to serial number 2, for instance, if a student has worked for 5 months in a Fortune Global 500 business and 18 months in a publicly traded company.

Documents Required for LPU Work Experience Based Scholarships

Candidates shall submit the following documents while applying for the scholarship at Lovely Professional University: 

• Experience certificate that specifically states the date of hire, working hours, date of release, job responsibilities, salary received, and any other supporting documentation.
• At least one letter of recommendation from a former job.
• Candidates shall not have been terminated from his/her job and had a clean reputation during their employment at the organisation.
• Candidates may have their employment from more than one organisation subject to a minimum of 6-month recruitment from each organisation. Hence, an experience letter mentioning the date of joining and leaving the organisation shall be on the paper mentioned. 
• No request for review will be entertained in this regard; the university's decision will be final and binding.

Scholarship Brackets
