Firstly, I would like to tell you LPU's hostel is just like a home away from home. I have resided in campus for three years and trust me I still cherish the moments that I spent over here. In hostels, so many amenities are provided for the comfort stay of students. Like bed, mattresses, study tables, chairs, wardrobes, AC, geysers, 24-hour electricity supply, proper water supply and do not worry about safety and security because there are so many guards in the campus who ensure the proper security. Moreover, hostel's wardens are helpful and cooperative.

LPU is the top most university situated in Phagwara punjab. It is a huge campus. There are 17 multi stories hostels and apartments. Rooms are A.C. or non A.C. you will get attached washroom with geyser, wooden box bed study table almirah chair and student can use electric gadget at 5 amp in non AC rooms cooler provided to the student. Medical service is also available. There are Tuck shop and many more facilities. You need not to worry . you will get everything in the campus .

Lovely Professional University(lpu) is a huge campus .There are many speperate hostels for boys and girls with so many ammenities such as free Wi-Fi facility available in campus. Hostels rooms available in two types such as apartment and standard room A.C./ NON A.C. .Apartment style rooms in 1 seater and 2-seater provided kicthenette area as well as lobby ,A.C. in each room,attached washrooms with geyser , wooden bed box, study table ,almirah, chair and student use electrical gadgets having max 5 amp load per apartment . Similarly these facilities available in standard rooms ( Cooler provide in NON-AC room).24-hrs electricity, water-supply, staff assitance, medical services is available, TV room, Departmental store(on payment),Tuck shop (on payment) and many more facilities.

LPU campus is spread over 600 acres of land, it is such a huge campus. There are many hostels in the campus itself. Moreover, so many amenities are provide in the hostel like free wifi service is given in the campus so that students can easily access it. Inspite of this a bed , a almirah, ac / coolers, chair and tables are also provided in the hostel's rooms. And one more thing each and every room has attached washrooms. Hostels are very well maintained.

Depending on the type of bed you choose, you may have to share facilities like air conditioning, a water heater, and a bathroom with your roommates. Hostels provide constant 24X7, video camera monitoring, backup power, medical help, staff support, study and TV areas, meals, laundry, a store, printing and copying services, elevator access, fire safety measures and internet connection. Water coolers with filters are also on every floor So you can conveniently get water just a few steps from your room. Also, as a person living in the hostel, you have the opportunity to use the library until 12 am midnight. This is something I really appreciate as a student. Hostels at LPU are a happy residence..

Apart from all the liesures in the LPU Hostels, there are few ristrictions and strict for the safety and security concern. LPU residential services are considered as one the largest in INDIA. LPU has the vast residential facilities and among various accommodation option (apartments, standard rooms, dormitories) one can opt for any as per preference. The rooms are furnished comprising: almirah, study table, chair, bed, geyser, attached washroom (except dormitories, where common washroom facility is available). the rooms are ventilated and spacious. There are CCTV cameras installed at gates and corridors and everything is being monitored also guards are employed to keep watch 24*7. There also is a separate place for study i.e Study Room in each hostel where one can indulge in studies without any hindrance. Apart from this every essential services are available within hostel premises like canteen, tuck shop, photostat shop, ATMs, sports ground etc. Food served at Mess is hygienic and is provided on time with multifarious options for each meal.

First of all LPU campus is a mini city in itself. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There are 24 hr. electricity backup Water Supply, and services available. I am an alumini of LPU and would like to tell that we have 8 boys and 6 girls hostel in the campus. 1- If you are a male you have 24+7 access to entry and exit in the hostel and for girls it id 7pm for last entry. (for security purposes) . However liabrary access for them is open at defined hours after 7 pm along with the guards 2- Your entry and exit would be governed by your fingerprint and ID card which makes it a very secure environment. 3- You have free access 24*7 for the internet but strict actions for using any unadvisable sites. 4- We have a internal student portal called UMS where you can mark any complaint ,requests or leaves in the system. 5- Non veg is not allowed in the hostel. It is little weird but LPU says we believe in respect of every religion and caste so I think it is fair enough as we have a separate canteen for non veg where you are free to go and eat. 6- We have innumerable kiosks in and around the campus for mouth watering food. 7- We have a Uni hospital in the campus, so in case of any sickness or emergency the ambulance is at the hostel gate in no time 8- They have cameras installed all over the hostel including each corridor which helps with a better security overall. 9- The basic necessity shops and parlours are there inside the girls hostel too. Those starting their journey at LPU, must be baffled about what to carry, as being away from home I presume will be the first time in most cases. Here, I will let you know about my experience and what my siblings have considered when they travelled to Punjab for higher studies including me. I am an LPU alumnus, and when I took admission at LPU, it was the first time I departed from my home. I was very thrilled for going to new place for education. Keeping everything in mind I will begin with what to carry:· Punjab is a place with distinct weather seasons and as commencement of first semester is from August- September, extending till December, so one should carry warm clothes along especially for those who belong to tropical region.· Apart from this one should carry required documents including (previous educational certificates, Address proof, ID cards etc).· Some preserved food item which will give the essence of homemade food that everyone misses when being away from home.· Although one should belief in minimalism, but some personal stuff can also be carry along but be mindful not to burden oneself with excessive luggage. I would like to give emphasis on vast campus of LPU which has all the utility shops within where one can purchase all the daily items like stationary, bed sheets, buckets, pillows, clothes, electronics etc. in Uni Mall.

Offering a wide ranging sporting and recreational programmes that caters to all Students regardless of age and background.Sports and Cultural activities exist at both recreational and competitive levels. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility.The university has a great medical and emergency facilities. University's own mall "Uni mall" where everything is available for the students. The security system is unquestionable inside LPU campus. The campus is well equipped with turnstile gates at main gate and hostel entry. CCTV cameras are almost everywhere in the campus like in classrooms , hostel mess , library , canteen , even in the pathway. It covers almost each and every point and are working day and night . There is around 250 security guards who keeps security check day 24 * 7 . I would say LPU is best in terms of safety. I'm ecstatic to write an answer regarding LPU. I've been there at the University for 3 years. Let me share some quick points of what are the rules and conditions in LPU hostels If you're male then you can enter and exit the hostel 24*7. If you're female then you should get back to your hostel room before or at 6pm. Except for academic reasons Rule 1: you're always supposed to carry your Icard and use finger print for enter and exit at turn style gates of hostel. Without Icard your finger print will not work at gates. For academic research purpose you're given free internet in hostels. In case of misuse like surfing porn will lead to serious consequences. Big brother is always watching you :D From complaints to requests everything can be done on UMS, university management service which is online portal. If you want to take leave for vacation or for other reasons you need to apply for leave before 6 hours minimum in UMS portal. You need to stay in the alloted room and allotted bed only. In case if university management find you staying at someone else's room in the same hostel, you'll be fined hefty amount There are 8 boys hostels and 6 girls hostels. You cannot visit each other's hostel. If you're allotted Bh1 then you cannot go inside bh2. You are allowed to carry food and beverages from canteen and food stalls. However, non veg is not allowed in hostel and campus. Strange but true. If you're a chicken eater, good news. You can go and eat non veg at the canteen which is at the end of bh4 playgrounds. Nonetheless, you cannot take it to your hostels. You are only supposed to eat there If you become sick at hostel, you can call uni hospital number. They will send an ambulance at your hostel. Always use facilities. Last but not least. Men can roam in the university campus at any time,24*7. Best part is you have wh Smith at ground floor in every hostel. You can go eat anything anytime

Girls are not allowed to roam around the hostel till late at night. No outsiders are allowed. Even the parents have to get a GATE pass to enter the university premises. Strict disciplinary actions are taken against those who indulge in indiscipline. This does give a feeling of prison as the students say in jest but it's for their safety. This is the reason why we don't come across any untoward incidents.

The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. of time and are accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Strict disciplinary actions are taken against those who indulge in indiscipline. This does give a feeling of prison as the students say in jest but it's for their safety. This is the reason why we don't come across any untoward incidents.

Girls are not allowed to roam around the hostel till late at night. No outsiders are allowed. Even the parents have to get a GATE pass to enter the university premises. Strict disciplinary actions are taken against those who indulge in indiscipline. This does give a feeling of prison as the students say in jest but it's for their safety. Residential facility at campus is much safer and secure as 24 X 7 X 365 security is available and CCTVs are installed at all prominent locations throughout the campus. Security is in the hands of experienced security staff. Turnstile Gates: The entry to residential facilities are regulated through automated turnstile (as in metro railway) and biometric machines and data is saved in computerized data base to track the movement of students/ visitor. Mess in the residential facility provides good quality, hygienic, nutritious mess and multi cuisine menu served four times a day. Constant vigil over vendors is the prime reason for good quality mess plan at residential accommodation. There is an automatic chapatti making machine in every residential accommodation which is hygienic and time saving. Students also have the option of having their mess occasionally or for nonmess opting students at cafeteria provided within residential premises and at various strategic locations within the campus. Medical Facility: University has 30 bedded hospital within the campus and 24 hours medical and Ambulance services are available. Hospital is staffed with Resident Medical Offi cers, Specialists, Physician Assistants, Medical Lab. Technologists, Nurses, Dieticians, Physiotherapists and Psychologists. Banks and ATM Facility : At Campus, we have branches of 5 nationalized banks. In addition, there are 55+ ATMs of different banks within the university campus.. Labs and workshop facilities are also available till late hours for practicing Internet connectivity: Being a tech savvy University, students generally accomplish their work through internet.
