What is the LPU Admission Process?

LPU admission 2024 has started. The application process of LPU is available in online mode and registration can be done from the official website. Students have to ensure they have the required eligibility criteria. Note that, for the majority of the courses, LPU accepts LPUNEST entrance exam scores. Hence, students may have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam and the admissions will be offered accordingly. Further, the authorities also accept national-level entrance exam scores for BTech, MBA, MTech, BDes, BArch etc examination along with LPUNEST scores.

Which entrance exam scores are accepted for LPU admission in BDes courses?

For admission in BDes courses, LPU Phagwara accepts UCEED, NIT DAT, NIFT UG scores. The university also conducts LPUNEST for BDes admission. The Bachelor of Design is a four years undergraduate programme offered in specialisations like global design, interior & furniture design, film & TV production etc.

What is the annual charge for LPU hostel facilities?

LPU hostel fee ranges from Rs 75,000 - Rs 2,00,000 per annum. The university has individual hostels for boys and girls students. LPU hostel fee depends on the accommodation chosen by the candidate. The university has single seater, double seater, triple seater and four seater accommodation for students with AC and non-AC rooms. LPU hostel fees does not include mess fees.

LPUNEST stands for Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test. It is conducted for admission and scholarship purposes by the university. LPU conducts LPUNEST every year across 200 centres in 28 states and 8 union territories. The exam pattern of LPUNEST varies for each discipline.

Does LPU offer scholarships to sports achievers?

Yes, the university provides scholarships to students with sports achievements at international, national and university level. LPU sports scholarships are divided into four categories: A+ grade, A grade, B grade and C grade. Benefits offered to students under sports scholarships at LPU are full course fee waiver, free hostel facilities, free gym and sports facilities etc. The benefits offered to students vary as per the scholarship grade obtained by students.

Is LPU accredited by NAAC?

Yes, NAAC has accredited the university. With a score of 3.68 on a 4-point scale, Lovely Professional University received highest A++ accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is among the handful of universities in India with A++ grade from NAAC. The combine accommodation capacity of both boys and girls hostels at LPU University campus is around 25,000̣. For the LPU B.Tech Mechanical Engineering degree, regular class hours are normally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. At the beginning of each semester, the University Management System (UMS) will provide your exact calendar (timetable), which comprises lectures and hands-on lab sessions.
