LPU B.Design (Film & TV Production) - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2024

Overall: I completed my B.Des degree from LPU in 2017 and was immensely satisfied with the curriculum that was taught. We were provided with some latest tools designed especially for the course and a lot of emphasis was laid on practical training. Throughout the year, many workshops and seminars were also organised to give us an idea of how our field was making a mark in the real world. The teachers encouraged us to participate in activities and competitions and helped us additionally for them.

Overall: I would highly recommend LPU to students as the kind of exposure and contemporary learning one would get here is quite next level. The university makes the students industry-ready. The faculty members are quite knowledgeable with rich experience in their respective domains.

Overall: Opting for this course was driven by its promising career prospects and potential for personal growth. Remain agile in competitive landscape, there's a need to prioritize practical learning and stay abreast of emerging technologies. Despite academic pursuits, the vibrant campus life fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among students.

Overall: Lovely Professional University which is popularly known as LPU, is one of the most popular private universities in Phagwara, Punjab. The university has its own pros and cons as per my experience. As for the placements, I believe that the placement records are increasing in every consecutive year. The highest CTC for the last year was Rs 3 crore per annum which is huge. The quality of education at the university is decent. You will find a variety of professors, some will be very dedicated while some will be simply ignorant. The campus life is very vibrant. Events and seminars are held from time to time.

Placement: LPU placement department is dedicated. They conduct activities like mock interviews, group discussions, aptitude tests, as well as personality development sessions. Many times esteemed speakers are called for guest lectures. The average placement rate is 90% and almost all the students receive placement offers. I also got the chance to pursue an internship at Microsoft during my course which really benefitted me.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful in the majority of the cases. They are always willing to lend a helping hand to us. Currently, there are around 4,000 faculty members at the university which is huge. The course curriculum is also relevant, however, some subjects have too much theory and no practical learning.

Hostel: Hostels are provided for girls and boys. More than 25,000 hostellers reside on campus and more than 60,000 meals are served each day. Despite the huge quantity of meals prepared, the quality of food is good. The prices are also affordable barring some items which are a bit costly. You can also easily avail of the laundry service of the hostels at nominal prices and ge washed and ironed clothes. There is also a sick room at the hostels.

Overall: I choose this course mostly due to KIET's employment opportunities, facilities, and current need for computer science. The best aspect of the B.Tech program is how it develops students and prepares them for employment. I believe there is no room for improvement in this course because everything is already excellent. Events and festivals are great since they are fully enjoyable and a break from studying. Students can showcase their abilities. The best facility is the one for scholarships. I received a scholarship for Rs. 52,200 because I fall under the OBC category, which is excellent. The KIET scholarship office operates well and aids students in obtaining scholarships in every way imaginable. I selected this programme because I believe it to be the greatest bachelor's degree offered in India. I also selected GL Bajaj because of its excellent placement rates and qualified teachers. Every professor holds a PhD and is an expert in their field. Before the big university tests, there are a lot of exams that, if you've studied from the professor's notes, are simple to pass.

Placement: From the computer science branch, placement rates were almost 100%. This year, Flipkart provided a highly competitive compensation package of 28 LPA to one of the CS department students. For the most part, major students were given a wage package that ranged from 10 LPA to 12 LPA. Four to five LPAs are included in the other remuneration package. There were more than 150 organizations, including Kellton Tech, HashStudioz, Absolutdata, American Express, Adobe, Arcesium, and Lambda, that actively recruited candidates. According to records, a significant number of students received internship offers, most frequently via Internshala. Students who become eligible for campus placement in their seventh semester, but if we learn of an internship or firm placement opportunity in our third year, we can apply for it without a doubt. Adidas, Tech Mahindra, Nagarro, and Sopra Banking are a few businesses that have visited the campus. Up until now, colleges have been successful in placing about 70% of students. 12–18 LPA was the highest package, and 2 LPA was the lowest.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are top-notch in this area. A good platform for online work and projects is created by the excellent internet speed, excellent Wi-Fi facility, and excellent internet facility. Additionally, laboratories are spotless and well-stocked with supplies that are plentiful enough to allow every student to do an experiment with ease. Since the benches are very comfy and the classrooms are totally air-conditioned, the spaces are excellent. Regular cleaning and upkeep are important components in keeping hostel facilities in top condition. Each student will like the excellent food given at the mess because it is so tasty. Sporting goods are also accessible, along with medical amenities. The library has all of the books needed for the course, which is fantastic. On occasion, general knowledge books and question banks are hard to get. The labs and classrooms don't have a lot of room. There is always-on Wi-Fi throughout the labs, dorms, and library. The food offered in the mess and canteen is of poor quality and isn't particularly appetizing.

Faculty: The lecturers here are extremely knowledgeable and qualified because they have earned PhDs in their fields. They are genuinely quite beneficial. Every teacher was incredibly helpful before the semester examinations. If any of the kids had questions even at midnight, they were willing to assist. Additionally, because they are so committed to instructing us, this is also true during college instructional hours. Their instruction is of very high caliber, and pupils greatly benefit from it. The college's faculty members are quite competent. The majority of the faculty members have PhDs and have done well in their research careers. The teachers are helpful; we can ask them questions whenever we have them, and they are willing to help. All of the teachers at my institution are the greatest; they have excellent communication skills, are higher thinkers, and offer excellent handwritten notes on the subjects to which they are linked for each subject. The professors have a warm demeanor and are very well-spoken. The purpose of the lectures is to provide us with a clear understanding of the many topics covered in the master of business administration program.

Hostel: The hostel facilities are nice. Food is provided four times every day, and the quality is likewise excellent. Students are provided with a variety of auxiliary amenities, including a gym, canteen, laundry, and many others. The accommodations are really large and roomy, and the registration process is very simple. The Knowledge Park 3 region is home to a large number of other private hostels and PGs. The hostel is nice; room size is also good; we are provided with a bed, an armoire, a table, chairs, and a separate fan; meal quality is mediocre; the hostel has seven floors; this is negative since there are no hostels for fourth-year students. Rooms with a single bed, a double bed, and a three-person bed are offered in the hostel. Your choice of room size will affect the rent. Rent is less expensive if you select a three-person room as opposed to a single-person one. Campus Hostel registration is done offline, and there is a 1000 non-refundable registration cost.

Overall: Choosing Lovely Professional University was one of the best decisions of my life. I am currently pursuing a B.Des degree from LPU. This is my final year. In the past three years, the university has provided me with immense knowledge and opportunities. You can qualify LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) / CUET / CEED / NID DAT for admission in the B.Des programme. I got admission based on my LPUNEST score.

Placement: LPU placements are improving year by year and the credit goes to arduous efforts of the placement cell. In my three years at the university, I had done five internships. Out of five internships, three internships were provided by the placement cell. The highest package offered during LPU placements 2022 was Rs 42 LPA.

Infrastructure: The 600 acres campus of LPU has best quality infrastructure and facilities for students. The university has fully air conditioned classrooms, wifi, a library with a huge reading room etc. A large number of eateries are located within the campus for students. I was into sports (Badminton). The university has an indoor badminton court. During my free time, I used to play there with my friends.

Faculty: I cannot ask for a better faculty. All the professors are helpful, cooperative and highly intellectual. The teaching methodology followed by faculty consists of a good mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. Industrial visits, guest lectures by industry professionals etc. are conducted to provide in-hand experience to us.

Hostel: Since the campus is huge, the university has multiple hostels for boys and girls students. The university hostel has three types of rooms: standard room, apartments, and dormitory. I am residing in a triple sharing standard room with AC. The university offers 350 units of electricity free to us. After 350 the cost of electricity is borne by us.

Overall: At LPU the B.Design programme on Fashion Design generates opportunities for your ideas to be displayed in the global couture shows in Milan and Paris. The choice between specialising in technology or design is provided. The Lovely Professional University fees for B.Design is a bit on the expensive side, but the guidance and opportunities you will receive later on are worth it. The fees are Rs 9.60 lakh for the four-year-long programme. Financial needs might be met with the help of scholarships.

Placement: For placements and training, more than 25 global brands visit the campus. Starting in the second year and continuing for one to one and a half years until they find a job, students receive training in aptitude, reasoning, free test preparation, soft skills and language education, and interviewing tactics. Employers including Orient Craft, H&M, Raymond's, Tommy Hilfiger, Gini & Johnny, and Shahi Export chose LPU students during the campus placements. Fashion displays, craft fairs, industry internships, and craft documentation are all introduced to students. A thorough introduction is given in the labs for pattern making, draping, weaving, printing, dyeing, and garment construction. Throughout the curriculum, students are given a variety of Live-projects to develop designs that are marketable. In order to produce conceptual clothing and accessories, students are encouraged to explore various materials. Students receive LPU placements packages as high as Rs 5 LPA after graduating with B.Design in Fashion.

Infrastructure: The LPU campus is spacious and adequately equipped with modern conveniences. Labs and tools to replicate the business environment with hands-on exposure to the fashion industry from merchandising to design are provided. Each year, more than 100 foreign students create more than 100 lifestyle products. More than 10 laboratories are there to stimulate the industry environment. The best lab facilities are found at Lovely Professional University. Each lab area is complete with top-notch equipment and state-of-the-art research facilities. Additionally, there are classrooms with air conditioning, a mall, a library, playgrounds, an auditorium, etc.

Faculty: The faculty at Lovely Professional University is strong since nearly every member has a doctorate in their area of specialisation and has been teaching for more than ten years. Some of them have master's degrees from foreign universities, which will introduce you to a lot of people. Experts from top design schools improve design visualisation and implementation. You always get the greatest advice from Lovely Professional University instructors.

Hostel: Hostels are expensive, although there are alternatives in the area. Hostel facilities can be substituted for private flats or other hostel facilities offered by private players in nearby cities like Phagwara and Jalandhar. The cost varies depending on whether you choose to share a room or not at a hostel. It offers rooms with one, two, three, and four seats. Depending on your needs, you can choose between AC or non-AC rooms.

Overall: Our department prides itself on modern infrastructure, featuring spacious classrooms and well-equipped labs. Despite some challenges in the computer lab, the library stands out as a repository of knowledge. However, hostel facilities require enhancements to ensure student comfort and well-being, while medical facilities remain readily accessible.

Overall: Lovely Professional University is not just a decent choice among the private universities in India, but it also provides study abroad opportunities. There are many schemes of the university like the international credit transfer program, semester exchange program, and, master’s abroad program which will give you a worthwhile chance to gain international exposure. However, you must qualify the eligibility criteria to avail any of such programs. Now talking about my experience at LPU, in one short, it was truly enriching. I developed socially, academically, as well as intellectually at the university. The faculty is mostly good and the placement training they provide is extensive.

Placement: Placement-wise also LPU is good. Not to mention it made headlines recently when Yasir M, one of our senior alumnus bagged a package of Rs 3 crore by a German MNC. Apart from this, the placement training is very good. The average CTC remains around Rs 5 lakh per annum and maximum placements are made in the B.Tech and MBA courses.

Infrastructure: As many of you would know, LPU is renowned for its world class infrastructure. They do charge a bit costly fees, but they also provide complete value for the money they take. The campus is serene and is spread across 600 acres of land. There are hostels also available on campus for males and females. Moreover, the library is huge and well-resourced. Apart from this we have facilities like fun zone, hospital on campus, ATM, laundry, canteens and dining area, etc.

Faculty: The course curriculum, as well as the teaching methods of LPU, are class apart. They not only aim to provide comprehensive learning but also believe in practical learning. Most of the professors in my department were highly experienced in their fields. They had ample teaching experience and were always ready to help us.

Hostel: LPU provides 100% value for money to its hostellers. The hostel capacity is huge with around 25,000 seats available. The buildings are separate for boys and girls. The dining halls for each of the hostels serve fresh and tasty food. There is an in-house laundry facility which provides washed and ironed clothes at a nominal price. There is a huge indoor stadium for hostellers along with ATM and shopping facilities.

Overall: One of the best things about LPU Phagwara is the campus. The campus spans more than 600 acres, making it a sizable area. It has all the necessary facilities required for academics and recreational activities. A mall, hospital, food court, and game zone centre are some of its top amenities offered here. Additionally, numerous diverse workshops are held each week. The infrastructure is excellent overall. The LPU campus life is unquestionably its best feature because it regularly hosts large-scale events and performances that provide us with pleasure and entertainment all year long.

Placement: The university has good placements overall. Securing placements also depends on how you perform in your academics and how well your interview session goes. Attendance plays a huge role in the placement process, along with your performance in the semester exams. Overall 1050 companies visited the campus during the LPU placements. A total of 504 companies offered Rs 5 LPA to the students. The placement rate was 90%. The Lovely Professional University highest package was Rs 64 LPA and the average placement package was Rs 8 LPA.

Infrastructure: Lovely Professional University spared no expense when it came to infrastructure. The air-conditioned classrooms are furnished with contemporary teaching aids and provide a relaxing and favourable learning environment. The LPU computer labs give students access to state-of-the-art technology, and the libraries are well-stocked with a wide variety of books and materials. Every student's demands are met by the university's wide array of possibilities.

Faculty: There are roughly 50 instructors teaching our course in total. Many of the lecturers on campus hold doctorates, making them qualified to explain the material in detail and help you with any issues you might encounter. In tutorial class, they answer questions and provide clarification. Discussion sessions are conducted in the auditorium.

Hostel: LPU provides both boys' and girls' on-campus housing of the highest calibre. The hostel costs are between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1.50 lakh. Depending on convenience and taste, students can choose from a variety of living options, including Standard Rooms and Apartments. The rooms are available in single, double, triple and multiple sharing options. The option of AC or non-AC rooms is also available.
