Manipal University admission 2025 is currently underway for some UG and PG courses for both Indian and Foreign/NRI students. While the majority of the courses, such as BTech, MBA, and MCA admissions, have been closed, for programmes like BCom, BBA, MSc, BDes, and MCom admissions are still open till August 31, 2025. For both Indian and NRI and foreign students, the Manipal University admission 2025 last date is August 31, 2025. 

Manipal University BTech admission started in January 2025 and ended in April 2025, while on June 18, 2025, the admission to the Manipal University MBA in 2025 started and ended on Aug 24, 2025.

Manipal University courses are quite diverse and offered in 370+ programmes. Admission to the MAHE is merit- and entrance-based. Entrance exams which are accepted at Manipal University are CAT/MAT/CMAT, NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS, MET, etc.

Manipal University Admission Latest Update

NEET PG 2025 counselling registration is now open at mcc.nic.in. Eligible candidates can complete their online registration for MD/MS seats. The detailed counselling schedule, covering round-wise registration, choice submission, seat allotment, and admission deadlines, will be released shortly.

The final phase of MAT 2025, December session, will soon open for registration. The exam will be conducted in both CBT and PBT modes, with one session each. The registration fee is ₹2,200 (₹3,800 for candidates opting for both modes). MAT scores will be valid for admission to the 2026 academic year.

What Is The Manipal University Admission Criteria?

Depending on the courses you choose, the Manipal University admission criteria vary. MAHE offers admission under two main categories:

  • Indian / Domestic (General Category)
  • Foreign / NRI / OCI / PIO Category

Foreign/NRI admissions follow a first-come, first-served, merit-based process for selected seats.

While for UG, PG, diploma, and doctorate courses, a different set of rules are followed as the eligibility criteria for Manipal University, this university accepts various entrance exams for admission. For BTech, Manipal University accepts MET, while for MBBS, NEET exams are accepted. 

  • For the UG courses, at least 50% in 10+2 is required, along with a valid scorecard of the accepted entrance exams.
  • For the PG courses, graduation in the required stream with at least 50% for some courses is required. Alongside, the candidate interested in the PG admission also has to produce a scorecard from the accepted entrance exams, such as CAT, GATE, NEET PG, etc.

Manipal University Application Process 2025

Manipal University offers 370+ courses across 36+ disciplines. The Manipal University admission for some courses is open till August 31, 2025. To proceed with the Manipal University admission for the available courses, you have to follow the following procedure.

Step 1: First visit https://apply.manipal.edu/application-forms# where you have to register yourself with your name, phone number, email address, chosen stream and course. 

Step 2: As soon as you register yourself, you will receive an email from Manipal Academy of Higher Education <admissions@mailer.manipal.edu>. Here you will be asked to validate your email address within 48 hours. Click on the “validate email” button ASAP, and that will redirect you to the first website: https://apply.manipal.edu/application-forms#.

Step 3: On this site, you will find all the programmes under different disciplines, like certificate, undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, fellowship, etc. Click on your preferred disciplines. 

However, to save your time and effort, we want to let you know that the Manipal University admission for the 2025-26 session for most courses has already been closed. Only some courses of UG, PG, Diploma, and PG Diploma are now open for admission. Check the first table to know more about those courses. 

Step 4: Once you are done with choosing the preferred course, click on the “Apply Now” button.

Step 5:  Then proceed to fill in the details as asked on the website. Details like Category (General, SAGES, Overseas), Programme, Personal, Guardian & Address need to be filled. In the Personal details section, you will be asked to upload the following documents:

  • Passport-size photograph – Max 2 MB & in .jpg only
  • Signature – Max 2 MB & in .jpg only

Step 6: Once you are done with filling the details correctly, you will land on the Declaration page.  Tick the box and click on “Next”. 

Step 7: After Declaration, you will land on the “Payment” page, where you will be asked to pay a nominal amount of INR 600 (incl. GST). Make the payment, and your application will be submitted.
