Candidates who wish to get admission to the BTech CSE course at Manipal University must aim for a rank between 1080 and 1600 in MET. Similarly, for EE, IT, and Mechanical Engineering, the expected cutoff 2024 for Manipal University is 14465-20995, 3805-4765, and 30430-47185 respectively. For BTech Biotechnology, the MET cutoff is expected to be in between 24485 and 30015. Admission to BTech courses at Manipal University is done through the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

Manipal University Cutoff Trends

As per Manipal University cutoff trends analysis, it can be seen that the cutoff ranks have significantly increased across all B.Tech. programmes offered between 2021 and 2023. B.Tech. in Data Science and Engineering witnessed the highest surge in cutoff ranks. There was a jump of nearly 193% in 2022 compared to 2021, and a further increase of 143% in 2023 compared to 2022.

B.Tech. in Information Technology is the only programme that saw a decrease in the percentage change of cutoff rank between 2022 and 2023. While there was still a significant increase between 2021 and 2022, the growth slowed down in 2023. B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech. CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) also observed substantial increases in cutoff ranks across all three years.

Dear Student,

Yes, you are eligible for admission to the Manipal Institute of Technology with your 12th aggregate. As per the eligibility requirements for MIT B.Tech admission, the candidate must pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / any technical vocational subject as optional, from a recognized Board, with a minimum 50% aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
