Overall: Initially I wasn’t happy about not getting into a better NIT as I never heard the name NIT Silchar ,With doubts in my mind I joined this college but soon after joining I realised this isn’t a bad choice the scenery of the campus ,the faculty, the dean academic , the fests all are absolutely fantastic. It has the biggest digital library on the name of A.P.J Abdul Kalam transport facility to travel with in the campus ….etc ….But the worst part is the. Surroundings of NIT Silchar has nothing roam even the nearest city is behind a generation it’s like my village in 2015’s so pretty much campus is the only option .
Infrastructure: Well about infrastructure , my personal opinion about this is I like the infrastructure , newly built academic building, the linking of the buildings which makes it easier to travel between labs and classes .Though they are quite old buildings but still they are well maintained and there are many trees which makes it a almost pollution free campus, there are many dust bins through out the campus which helps to maintain the cleanliness overall the infrastructure isn’t that bad .
Faculty: Actually every semester faculty changes , so whoever it might be he’s not permanent . But every faculty member tries their level best to teach the students ,they are cheerful, experienced, skillful, talkative, even the faculty members compete with each other to score the highest marks which shows a faculties interest .But the number of classes aren’t sufficient to make students understand from scratch,so it ultimately depends on the student how well he can perform in exams.
