Allahabad University has declared the result of LAT Exam 2020 for LLB. The result was out on November 8, 2020, via an online mode. The result of AU LLB or LAT is made available in the form of a scorecard and can be accessed by candidates by logging on to the official website of the university. The students who have qualified the exam and have been shortlisted will be called for the counselling and the seat allotment process which will be held by the Allahabad University. The exam was conducted on September 28, 2020, for which the admit cards were generated on September 18, 2020. 

Allahabad University conducts LAT exam and LFAT exam every year for giving admission to students to the law courses offered at the varsity. The Law Admission Test or LAT 2020 admits law aspirants to its 3 year LLB programme. Candidates seeking admission are required to apply for the exam online by visiting the official website of the university. The intake capacity of the 3 year LLB programme at Allahabad University is 600. If a candidate meets the minimum eligibility criteria set by the university, he/she is eligible to apply for the exam. If not, the candidature of the applicant will be considered as invalid even if the aspirant has applied for the exam.

How to Apply for LAT 2020?

Allahabad University will release the application forms of LAT 2020 on its official website and the candidates can fill up the application form online until the last date. Aspirants seeking admission in the 3 year LLB under LAT 2020 can follow the step by step procedure mentioned below.

  • Visit the official website of the Allahabad University and click ‘AU Admissions 2020’ displayed on the announcement tab.

  • A new window will pop up. Click on LLB (Hons.) and an application window will be visible.

  • Before proceeding further, candidates can check the instructions to apply.

  • Click on the button that says ‘Registration’.

  • Candidates have to register for LAT 2020, by filling in the important details like Name, Nationality, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Contact Number, E-mail address, Date of Birth, and Gender.

  • The aspirant will receive a unique username and password on the registered mobile number.

  • Candidates have to log in using the password and user name provided in the registered mobile number.

  • After filling up the form with significant credentials the candidates must upload the required documents.

  • Next step is to pay the application fee. The form will be considered as submitted only once the university has received the fee payment made by the aspirant.

  • Once the application form is submitted, candidates can either download or take the print out for any future references.

Note: Candidates have to fill and submit the application form before the last date issued by the university. The unreserved, EWS and OBC candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 800 whereas the SC/ST/PWD have to make a payment of Rs. 400.

LAT Eligibility Criteria 2020

The minimum eligibility of LAT 2020 is mentioned below. Candidates are advised to go through it once before applying for the LAT 2020. If a candidate is successful in fulfilling the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university, he/she would be considered for the admission in the 3 year LLB course. If not, the university has the authority to cancel the candidature of such candidates at any stage.

  • The applicant must be a holder of a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent institution.

  • It is essential for the candidates to score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

  • If the candidate falls under the SC/ST category, he/she is awarded 5% relaxation in the aggregated marks. The OBC candidates can apply for LAT 2020 with a 42% aggregate score.

LAT Admit Card 2020

The exam conducting body of LAT 2020, i.e. Allahabad University releases the LAT 2020 admit card. The admit card will be made available for the students to download in an online mode. Here is the process of downloading the admit card if you have successfully filled the form and paid the application fee for the same.

  • Visit the official website and click on the appropriate link.

  • A log-in window will pop up

  • Enter your user name and password

  • After logging in successfully, the admit card of the LAT 2020 candidate will be visible on the screen.

  • Download the form and take a printout of the same for future purpose.

LAT Result 2020

The result of LAT 2020 is made available for the candidates once the exam is over through an online mode. Candidates need to visit the official website of the university to download the result of LAT 2020. The result of LAT 2020 will display the marks obtained by the aspirant, provisional qualification status along with candidates’ name, roll number etc. Once the result of LAT 2020 is declared candidates are called for the counselling process and the admission process conducted by the Allahabad University.

LAT Counselling Process 2020

The counselling process of LAT 2020 will be conducted after the announcement of the result of the entrance exam. The LAT 2020 counselling process is held in an offline mode by the Allahabad University. The shortlisted candidates on the basis of LAT 2020 score will have to report to the Pravesh Bhawan, Chatham Lines Campus, Allahabad. The candidates willing to participate in the counselling process of LAT 2020 will have to register themselves online through an online admission application form.

Step 1- Register Online

The admission application form will be made available online on the official website. Candidates are required to log in using their credentials and fill up the details. Submit the form once the form is filled.

Step 2- Report at the venue of Counselling

Candidates will have to report to Pravesh Bhawan, Chatham Lines Campus, Allahabad for the successful participation of counselling. Upon their arrival, they will have to enrol themselves for counselling. Aspirants are advised to arrive in time for the counselling session so as not to miss any step of the counselling process of LAT 2020.

Step 3- Verification of Documents

The candidates participating in the counselling process of LAT 2020 are required to submit their original documents for the verification. The counselling process of LAT 2020 is conducted in multiple rounds depending on the number of seats left vacant after each round of counselling. It should be noted that the seats will be distributed to the candidates as per merit and reservation policy of the university.
