HPPSC Recruitment 2022: Notifications, Eligibility, Online Application Process

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, or HPPSC, conducts several exams all year round for different posts. HPPSC is the unit that is responsible for organising the state-level civil services exam annually. It conducts recruitments for the services and posts that come under the State through these competitive examinations and interviews. Apart from that, the HPPSC is also responsible for advising on the suitability of officers for appointment on promotion as well as for transfer-on-deputation. HPPSC Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates who wish to apply for various posts under HPAS must ensure that they satisfy all eligibility criteria mentioned below for admission in the examinations. 

HPPSC Application Form 2022

The steps to apply for HPPSC exams 2022 are given below. The application process for HPPSC 2022 is done solely through the online mode. The Commission does not accept applications that are received through any other mode and they are rejected at once. Follow the steps given below to successfully complete the HPPSC 2022 application process.

• Go to the official website of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.
• Scroll down on the home page and you will find the option titled ‘Apply Online’.
• Click on the link and you will be redirected to a new page with two options.
• Select the option of ‘Online Application Registration’.
• Register yourself for the HPPSC 2022 exam by filling in your name, gender, category, e-mail address, date of birth, security question and its answer.
• You will be required to create a user ID and password while registering.
• After completing the registration process, proceed to fill the application form of HPPSC 2022.
• Enter your personal details like your address, the names of your parents, your contact number, etc.
• Fill in your academic details and qualifications.
• After that, you will be asked to upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature. The format for both of them should be jpg and their size must not exceed 40 KB each.
• You will be given the option of editing your application form once after submitting all the details. Make sure you check everything before clicking on the ‘Continue’ button as you will not be allowed to make any changes in your application form after that.
• Pay for the HPPSC 2022 application form online by the option of e-payment.
• Take a print out of the form as you will be required to submit it along with the required attested documents and certificates on the day of the HPSSC 2022 screening test.
• If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, he/ she will have to apply for each post separately. The examination fee for each post is also to be paid in the prescribed manner.

If a candidate aspires to give the exam for more than two posts of HPPSC then he/ she will have to apply for each post separately and also pay the fee for both the applications. HPPSC Selection Process 2022

The HPPSC exams are conducted in three stages. These stages are:

• The Screening Test
• The Main Exam
• The Interview

The subjects and questions asked in the exam differ as per the post for which the applicant is giving the test. Candidates are selected on the basis of the marks they score in all these stages. The Screening Test is like a preliminary exam and examines the general knowledge and aptitude of the candidate. Topics of general studies, arts and culture, literature, current affairs, history, geography, Indian polity, environmental issues, socio-economic development of Himachal Pradesh, etc. will be asked in this section.

If the candidates qualify the screening test, they will be permitted to sit for the Main Exam. No separate call letters will be given to the candidates for this exam. After qualifying this stage, the candidates will be called for personal interviews. The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the marks they secure in the last two stages. Their marks in the screening test will be counted when the Commission is shortlisting all candidates for the final merit list.
