The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in Maharashtra for the year 2024 is a standardized procedure for admissions to various professional courses offered by Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions, Government, Government Aided, and University Departments. The CAP process ensures a fair and transparent admission system based on merit and eligibility criteria. Here is an overview of the CAP process in Maharashtra for 2024:

  1. Online Application Form: Candidates seeking admission to First Year Computer Applications should fill out the Online Application Form. There are two categories of candidates:

a. CET Candidates: Candidates who qualify for admission based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Competent Authority need to apply online without paying any application fee.

b. Non-CET Candidates: Candidates who qualify for admission based on National Level Examinations approved by Maharashtra State, except the CET conducted by the Competent Authority, should apply online and pay the required application fee as specified in the Information Brochure.

  1. Application Fee: The application fee varies for different courses and categories of candidates. The fees are paid online, and the details of the fee structure can be found in the Information Brochure.

Alternatively, candidates can also fill out the form and upload documents from any computer connected to the internet.

  3. Document Verification: Candidates must visit the designated Facilitation Centers for document verification. It is mandatory to produce all original documents in support of the claims made in the application form. Once the application form is confirmed, no changes can be made by the candidate.

  4. Display of Merit Lists: Provisional and Final Merit Lists of eligible candidates are displayed on the website. Candidates can submit grievances, if any, within the specified period. However, no documents will be accepted to substantiate the claims made in the application form after the scheduled dates.

  5. Seat Matrix: The Competent Authority publishes the Category Wise Seats (Seat Matrix) available for each CAP Round. This information includes details about institutes, courses offered, sanctioned intake, and the number of seats available for each category.

  6. Online Option Form: Candidates must fill and confirm the Online Option Form, indicating their preferences for courses and institutions before each CAP Round. The choices should be ranked in decreasing order of preference. Once confirmed, the Option Form cannot be changed.

  7. Provisional Allotment: The Competent Authority displays the Provisional Allotment for each CAP Round, indicating the allotted institute and course.
