The NCHMCT JEE 2022 exam is scheduled for June 18. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the entrance test across 91 exam centers in India. The NCHMCT JEE 2022 admit card is released and can be downloaded from the official website ( only a week left for the exam, aspirants appearing for the same must be thoroughly prepared and should also be aware of the various guidelines and other vital aspects related to this examination. The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) is a national-level hospitality entrance exam that’s conducted for candidates who are planning to pursue a career in the hospitality & hotel industry. It’s a three hours exam where the candidates have to answer 200 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) with +4 marks for every correct answer and -1 mark for every wrong answer.

NCHMCT JEE 2022 Admit Card Guidelines

NTA will release the NCHMCT JEE Admit Card 2022 on its official website. Candidates can download the same by visiting the portal and logging in with their user credentials.

To download the admit card for NCHMCT JEE 2022 exam, follow these steps:

  • Log in to
  • Visit the ‘NCHMCT JEE 2022 Admit Card’ link and click on the Download option
  • Enter the application no., DOB, and the security pin in the login window
  • View NCHMCT JEE admit card and Save it

Candidates are advised to download their respective admit cards before June 18 and keep a copy of the same for future reference. The admit card is the gateway to the exam hall. Without it, candidates will not be allowed inside the exam hall or sit for the exam. 

Before reaching the exam center on the scheduled date, check out the following details on your NCHMCT JEE 2022 Hall Ticket:

  • Candidate’s Name and Roll No. 
  • Category, Gender, DOB
  • Father’s Name
  • Date, Time, and Venue of NCHMCT JEE 

Candidates are advised to carefully go through these details and look for any errors/misprints before taking a printout of the hall ticket. In case of a mistake or discrepancy in the information printed, applicants must contact the NTA helpline immediately (between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM) to get those rectified. 

Documents to Carry on NCHMCT JEE 2022 Exam Day

These documents are made mandatory to be carried by the candidates when visiting the exam centers without which you would not be allowed to give the examination. The most important documents that you should be carrying to the exam centers include:

Admit Card: Post successful registration, candidates can download their respective admit cards from the official NTA website. In the event of not carrying the admit card to the center, the candidate would not be allowed to sit for the examination.

ID proofs: Remember to carry valid id proof such as a voter card, Aadhar card, driving license, and passport. ID proof is required to verify & authenticate the identity of the customer at the exam center. In absence of valid ID proof, the candidate won’t be allowed to enter the exam center.

Passport Size Photograph: The candidate appearing for the NCHMCT JEE exam should carry one passport size photograph to the exam center. Just remember that the photograph being carried should be the same as the one used for filling the online application.

NCHMCT JEE 2022 Dress Code 

NTA has not specified any dress code for NCHMCT JEE 2022. However, it is advisable that candidates come dressed appropriately on the day of the exam, and avoid wearing too many accessories. 

  • Female candidates can wear a T-shirt/shirt paired with jeans, or Kurti/leggings/salwar, etc. Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes and jewelry/metallic items, like bracelets, nose pins, rings, and earrings. 
  • Male candidates must also preferably be wearing light, breathable clothes. Avoid wearing accessories, like goggles, watches, caps, and belts. 

NCHMCT JEE 2022 Exam Day Instructions at the Entry Point

Candidates must go through pre-exam guidelines to avoid any hassle and ensure a smooth entry into the exam hall:

  • It is advisable that all candidates reach the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before the Reporting time as mentioned on the admit card. (Candidates will not be permitted to enter the venue after 9:30 AM as the exam is to start at 10:00 AM)
  • Ensure that the admit card is duly filled as per the instructions given
  • Admit cards must be duly filled as per the instructions.
  • Students will be notified of the lab or room number allotted to them at the entry gate
  • Candidates must only be carrying items related to the entrance test viz. ID card, admit card, a ballpoint pen, an additional Passport-sized photograph, a water bottle and a hand sanitizer for personal use.

Important Instructions for Candidates During and After the NCHMCT JEE 2022

Take note of the following when appearing for the NCHMCT entrance test:

  • A4 size sheets will be provided inside the exam hall for rough work
  • Candidates are to affix their Passport-size photograph on the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator
  • Candidates must wait for the invigilator’s instructions on the completion of the paper. The exit of candidates will be made in an orderly manner.
  • Applicants are to hand over their rough sheets as per the instructions of the invigilator
  • Candidates must not engage in any unfair means when appearing for the test. Any examinee caught in possession of restricted items or following unfair means to get through the test will be dealt with strictly. They may even have their answer sheets cancelled for the entire term. 

No applicant will be allowed to enter the venue once the gates are closed, nor will they be permitted to leave the exam hall before the end of the test. 

COVID-19 Guidelines at the NCHMCT JEE 2022 Exam Centre

In view of the Covid-19 outbreak, all Covid-19 safety measures will be followed at the venue and inside the exam hall. Candidates must take note of the following:

  • All Standard Operating Procedures for the maintenance of hygiene are being implemented for the safety of examinees and the staff. 
  • The seating area will be cleaned before each shift starts. Besides, all high-touch objects/surfaces, like keyboards, monitors, webcams and mouse, chairs and desks, staircase railing, door handles etc. will be thoroughly sanitized.
  • As per the guidelines by the Govt. of India, all seats will be placed at a 6-feet gap to avoid crowding.
  • Hand sanitizers will be widely available at all entry points of the exam hall
  • Barcode/QR code readers will be available at the reporting counter to scan the code on your NCHMCT JEE Admit Card.
  • Applicants must enter the exam center wearing face masks, preferably with 3-ply cotton
  • Body temperature of all candidates will be checked using a thermal gun at the entry point to avoid the risk of Covid-19 infection

The NTA has ensured that all the procedures at the exam center are carried out without any physical proximity or touch to encourage social distancing. 

Dos and Don'ts on NCHMCT JEE 2022 Exam Day

On the day of the NCHMCT JEE 2022 exam, candidates often find themselves worked up and in a state of confusion as to what needs to be done and what not upon reaching the venue. To help them get through the whole procedure, here are some of the dos and don'ts to follow prior to the NCHMCT JEE 2022 exam day:

Things to Do

  • Keep all the exam-related items/documents prepared well-advanced. Leaving them for the 11th hour won’t be a wise decision. This lets you focus on the exam preparation rather than going through the unnecessary inconvenience & panic.
  • Try reporting an hour or so before the start of the exam to allow time for document verification and security checking
  • Carry the NCHMCT JEE 2022 Admit Card and other relevant documents as mentioned above
  • Applicants should take their seats as soon as entry to the exam hall is granted. Else, they are likely to miss out on the important instructions given by the invigilator.
  • Candidates must paste their photograph and sign the attendance sheet as instructed

Things NOT to Do on NCHMCT JEE 2022 Exam Day

  • Applicants must not be carrying any of the following items that are strictly prohibited:
  1. Electronic devices/gadgets, Bluetooth, Mobile Phones
  2. Smartwatch, Headphones, Pen drives
  3. Calculators
  4. Stationery items – pen/pencil/eraser/writing pads etc. 
  5. Food items/snacks/beverages 
  • Candidates should not be carrying any baggage to the exam hall
  • Applicants must not alter their seats or change their rooms on their own other than the ones allotted to them without the knowledge of the invigilator.

Things to be Avoided in Exam Hall of NCHMCT JEE 2022

Since the NCHMCT JEE exam is conducted online every year, candidates are required to carry no stationary items except a pen. Here is a list of things that you shouldn’t carry with you inside the hall.

  • Electronic gadgets
  • Earphones/headphones
  • Edible items
  • Papers for rough work
  • Calculator

Yes, all candidates must carry a valid photo ID proof issued by the Government of India. Any of the following will do – Aadhaar card/PAN/Voter ID/Passport/Driving license.
