NCHMCT JEE or National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination is a common entrance exam conducted for admission to the undergraduate programs in hospitality. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) online for three hours. The exam consists of 200 questions from General Knowledge, English Language, Numerical Ability, Logical Deduction, Reasoning, Analytical Aptitude and Current Affairs. Admission to all the NCHMCT JEE participating colleges will be done on the basis of scores in the entrance exam. NCHMCT JEE 2021 Important Documents
All the important documents which have to be carried to the exam centre are listed below.
NCHMCT JEE Admit Card: Admit card is the most important document which the candidate must carry with him. No candidate will be allowed to sit in the examination hall without the admit card. Candidates may download their admit cards from the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) once released. They will have to take the print out of the downloaded admit card. The admit card will have the candidate's name, the application number, code of examination centre, address of examination centre, roll number and examination timings.
Passport Size Photographs: Candidates will also need a passport size photograph. The photograph should be the same as the one used while filling up the application form.
ID Proof: Candidates should carry at least one photo ID proof along with them. ID Proof is required to verify the candidate's identification. Any candidate who fails to carry the ID proof will not be allowed to take the examination. Candidates can carry any one of the following IDs long with them:
- PAN Card
- Aadhaar Card (with the photograph)
- Driving License
- E-Aadhaar
- Voter’s ID Card
PwD Certificate (if applicable): Pwd candidates need to carry the Pwd certificate to the examination centre. In such cases, candidates are requested to report early at the exam centre.
Note: It must be noted that the ID card issued by Colleges/ schools/ coaching centres/ universities without aadhar card or any image stored in the mobile number will not be accepted.
NCHMCT JEE 2021: Things NOT to Carry to the Exam Centre
NCHMCT JEE will be conducted online so candidates will not have to carry a pencil or pen inside the examination hall. All the necessary items such as a blank paper sheet and pen will be provided inside the examination hall. Besides this, candidates are not allowed to carry the things mentioned below to the examination centre. It should be noted that the examination centre does not have the facility/ security to keep candidates' valuables secure.

- Any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices
- Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator
- Tape Recorder
- Camera
- Log Tables
- Slide Rules
- DocuPen
- Calculator
- Eatables and Water
- Any kind of Stationery/ Paper/ Textual material
- Purse
- Handbag
- Geometry/ Instrument/ Pencil box
Note: Besides this, students who are diabetic will be allowed to carry fruits (like apple/ oranges or banana) to the examination room/ hall. No candidate will be allowed to carry packed foods such as sandwiches/ candy and chocolates.
NCHMCT JEE 2021: Last Minute Tips

Candidates should focus on solving the maximum number of questions in a limited time. The maximum time allowed for the examination is 180 minutes. They should aim at completing their examination in such a way that they get some minutes for revision. Candidates may solve the section in which they are comfortable first and then they can proceed to the other sections.
Candidates are advised to be aware of all the important events and happenings around the world. They should focus on improving their general knowledge as there is a complete section of GK and Current Affairs in the NCHMCT JEE entrance exam.
Candidates should be confident while answering the questions as there will be a negative marking of -1 mark in each section. Apart from this, there will not be any deduction for any unanswered question. The marking scheme of the NCHMCT JEE entrance exam is given below

- Candidates are advised to solve the maximum number of mock test papers in order to gain confidence while attempting the questions. Solving the mock test will also allow the candidates to get familiar with the exam pattern and type of questions which can be asked in the exam.
There will not be any personal interview or group discussion round. Selection will be done directly on the basis of scores in the NCHMCT JEE entrance examination.
