SLAT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: When to Report, What to Carry, Banned Items

Students appearing for the SLAT exam 2026 must adhere to the following guidelines to take the exam hassle-free.

  • Reach the SLAT 2026 exam centre at least one hour before to complete verification, biometric and security checks without rush.

  • Carry a copy of your SLAT hall ticket 2026 & photo ID proof. Make sure the photograph matches the one attached with your SLAT application form.

  • Maintain discipline and decorum inside the test centre

  • Once inside the exam hall, avoid communicating with fellow candidates as it might lead to disqualification.

  • Avoid carrying any prohibited items, such as electronic gadgets, watches, study materials, calculators, stationary items etc.

  • Follow the SLAT 2026 exam day dress code prescribed by the conducting authority. Avoid wearing heavy clothing, buttoned shirts and kurtas, closed footwear (shoes and boots), ornaments, unnecessary accessories, like belts and caps etc.

  • If you have applied for scribe or other support facilities, do carry supporting documents and a valid certificate as proof.

  • Do check your desktop and internet connection once you are seated, before the test begins. In case of any irregularities or technical glitches, inform the invigilator immediately.

  • While taking the SLAT exam, read the instructions on the screen carefully - how to select the correction option, how to navigate back and forward, how to review answers before submitting the test.

  • Pay attention to any announcement made by the invigilator. Do sign on the designated space in the attendance sheet as and when instructed by him/ her.

  • The SLAT exam will automatically end and your answers will be submitted after test duration (60 minutes). So, ensure you do not waste time stuck on one question. Try and finish the paper in 45-50 minutes and revise in the last 15 minutes.

Acceptable ID Proofs for SLAT Exam 2026

As per the SLAT 2026 exam day guidelines, the student must carry the following ID proofs to the exam centre:

1. Aadhaar Card

2. Passport

3. PAN card

4. Ration card/PDS photo card

5. Voter ID card

6. Driving license

7. Photo ID issued by a recognized educational institution

8. Photo bank ATM card

9. Kisan photo passbook

10. CGHS/ECHS photo card

11. Address card with name and photo issued by the Department of Posts

12. Certificate of identity with photo issued by a gazetted officer or tehsildar on letterhead

13. Disability ID card/handicapped medical certificate issued by the respective State/UT governments/administration
