Uttar Pradesh offers admission to agricultural courses at various levels, such as BSc Agriculture, MSc Agriculture, MTech Agriculture, MBA in Agriculture, and PhD in Agriculture. Admissions to UP agricultural courses are based on the state-level entrance examination, UPCATET 2025. The UPCATET 2025 registrations began on 17th March and ended on 18th May 2025 . Students who registered for this exam can download their admit card from the official website available at https://upcatet.net/ . UPCATET 2025 will be held on 11th and 12th June 2025 .

Through the UCPATET 2025 exam , students can get admission to agricultural colleges in Uttar Pradesh such as the Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut, Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya, and Banda University of Agriculture and Technology.

Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Courses Application Process

The application process for UPCATET 2025 ended on 18th May 2025. The application form was released on the official website of the Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology. Here is a step-by-step guide to fill out the UPCATET 2025 application form :

Step 1: Register and fill out the UPCATET Application form

As soon as the notification is released for admission on the official website, students can register and fill in the online application form. The application can also be filled out in offline mode. Students can collect the form from the admission office of participating universities and send the application before the deadline.

Step 2: Pay the Registration fees

Students who fill in the application form must also pay the application fees to complete the application process. Online payment can be done using debit/ credit cards. For offline payment, students must visit the nearest SBI branch.

Step 3: Print Application Form

After payment, students must keep a copy of the application form for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for UP Agricultural Courses 2025

Check the eligibility criteria to take admission in agricultural courses in Uttar Pradesh:

  • The student must have passed the qualifying examination from Uttar Pradesh State.
  • The student must be living in UP for at least the past 5 years, or the student's father must be from UP or living in the state for the past five years.
  • Foreign students whose ancestors were from UP are also eligible to appear in UPCATET
  • The age of the students applying for the UG programme must be between 16 to 22 years.
  • Age of the students applying for B.V.Sc. and A.H. programmes must be between 17 to 25 years.
  • There is no age limit to apply for PG programmes.

  • English must be one of the core subjects in Class 12th.

  • Candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

  • SC/ ST candidates must have scored an aggregate of 47.5%.

B.Sc Honors Home Science/

Community Science (Girls only)

  • Students must have passed the intermediate in Arts. Home Science must be one of the subjects in Class XII.

  • PCB /PCM/ PCMB/Agri. Sci. students are also eligible for admission.
