West Bengal ITI admission process began on April 15, and the last date to apply was extended till July 30, along with the choice filling process. Now, the WB ITI merit list is expected to be released by August 7, 2025.

The West Bengal ITI Admission 2025 application form was released on April 15, 2025. The last date for ITI admission applications was extended for the fourth time to July 30, 2025. Now the registrations are closed along with the choice filing process. As per the latest update on the website, the WB ITI merit list will be released on August 7, 2025. Once released, students can access the merit list direct link below:

Previously, the last date was July 15, but then extended till July 22, and then again extended till July 25, 2025. Now it has been extended for the fourth time till July 30. This gives good chances to students who missed the previous deadline to register for WB ITI admissions. Further dates for choice filling and merit list are yet to be declared. It is expected that once the registration is over, the dates for the next events will be released on the official website.

Aspirants who have passed the requisite entry qualification from any school located within the State are eligible for the ITI West Bengal admission process. The West Bengal Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT) conducts the West Bengal ITI Admission 2025. The WB ITI admission process is merit-based, and most students are not required to take an entrance exam. Students whose names appear on the WB ITI merit list must participate in a counselling procedure. The WBSCVT manages the online admission process for both government and private ITIs. There are two categories of trades: E (Engineering) and M (Non-Engineering) for which students can take admission.

West Bengal ITI Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students who satisfy the eligibility guidelines specified by WBSCVT are only eligible for admission in ITI trades offered by various colleges across the state. The WB ITI admission 2025 eligibility criteria can be checked below:

  • Applicant should be at least 14 years of age as on 01.08.2025, i.e, born before 01.08.2011. For drone-related courses, the age should be at least 18 years.
  • There is no upper age limit for ITI admission in WB

Minimum Education Qualification for ITI ‘M’ Group Trades

  • Passed Madhyamik (Class 10) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Minimum Education Qualification for ITI ‘E’ Group Trades

  • Class Eight pass from a recognized school.
  • Must have Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects in their class 8

Creation of Merit List of "M" Group Trades

  • 50% weightage to total marks and 50% to marks obtained in Mathematics and Physical Science.

  • Take the printout of the WBSCVT online admission application form after the submission

  • The students will have to submit a hard copy of the WBSCVT online admission application form to the nearest ITI for data validation

Merit List for ITI Admission in West Bengal 2025

After the form submission deadline, WBSCVT will release separate merit lists for Group 'M' and 'E' trades. The merit rank for Group 'M' is based on 10th-grade exam scores, while the Group 'E' merit list relies on 8th-grade exam marks. This process accurately evaluates each student's academic performance. The WB ITI 2025 merit list contains the names of qualified students who excelled in the 8th or 10th class exams. The merit list for M group trades is based on performance in Madhyamik or equivalent exams. ITI WBSCVT Reservation Policy
