Chennai Institute of Technology Entrance Exams Accepted List 2023

Various exams are accepted for securing a seat in the prestigious Institute of CIT. All state-level engineering entrance test scores are encouraged since it is an engineering-focused institution. The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission, conducted by Anna University, is considered for admission into the Chennai Institute of Technology Tamil Nadu U.G. courses. The counseling fee for this exam ranges from Rs 5,000 for general candidates to Rs 1,000 for reserved candidates. Upon successful Chennai Institute of Technology counseling, the candidate's seat is secured in the institution. 

Similarly, the TANCET or Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test conducts state-level entrance tests for universities with P.G. engineering courses. Anna University also supervises the TANCET. To appear in the TANCET examination, a candidate has to score a minimum of 50% in their graduation. The duration of the TANCET exam is 120 minutes.

There are 3 courses offered by Chennai Institute of Technology to interested candidates at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. These courses are offered in the stream of engineering and technology. The BTech course is offered for the duration of 4 years (3 years for lateral entry), 2 years for ME course and 4 years for PhD course. For admission to UG course, TNEA counselling is accepted by the institute and GATE/CEETA entrance exam is accepted for admission to ME courses. The entire course fees for offered courses range between Rs 50,000 and Rs 2.2 Lakhs. There is hostel facility at the institute for both boys and girls at the institute campus. And Shri Parthasarathy Memorial Scholarships is offered to 30 students every year.
