As LPU offers admission in Diploma, UG, Lateral Entry, and PG courses, the admission dates for each stream/ level will be different from another. LPU releases the dates for admission process for various courses in the month of November, and students need to note that the admission process continues until June every year. For some courses, LPU conducts LPUNEST while the admission process for some courses is based on merit in qualifying exams or personal interview.

All the courses offered by LPU are recognised and approved by competent authorities and a degree/diploma from LPU carries a lot of value in the job market. LPU releases official information brochure for Diploma, UG, Lateral Entry, PG and post-PG courses on its website. Before applying to various courses through the official website of LPU, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria for LPU courses. The application form for LPU admission can be filled through its official website. The admission process of LPU involves different stages.

All the details pertaining to LPU courses such as eligibility criteria, admission/selection process and placements can be checked here. fee structure of LPU differs from course to course. LPU also has a refund policy for students who wish to withdraw their admission due to some reason after paying the fee. If the student withdraws admission between 16th July to 31st July, which is the last date of admission, he/ she will receive a refund of 90 per cent of the total fee paid and 10 per cent will be deducted. If the admission withdrawal is done in the first fifteen days of August, i.e. from 1st August to 15th August, a deduction of 20 per cent of the total fee will be done and the remaining will be refunded to the candidate. In the latter half of August, cancelling the admission at LPU will fetch the student 50 per cent of the total fee as a refund. If the student withdraws or cancels his/ her admission post 30th August, no refund will be given to him whatsoever.

LPU Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Courses 2020

The general eligibility criteria for Diploma courses 2020 offered by Lovely Professional University is Class 10 with a minimum of 50% of marks. The candidates must have studied Diploma with English as the medium of instruction. Some specialisations also require the candidate to have studied Mathematics and Science at the high school level. Relaxation of 5% is given to students from North-East states and Sikkim, wards of Kashmiri migrants, and defence personnel and their dependents. 10% relaxation is given to the students who are outstanding sportspersons (i.e. A/A+ category).

LPU Application Process for Diploma Courses 2020

Candidates aspiring for Diploma admission in LPU must fill the online application form through the official website of the varsity. The candidates must fill the application form on the LPU website carefully. Candidates must pay the specified application fee for LPU diploma courses. Submit the application form after submission, and take the printout of the same. 

LPU Selection Process for Diploma Courses 2020

LPU selection process for Diploma courses 2020 is purely based on the merit of the candidates. The class 10 marks of the candidates will be strictly considered for admission process. LPU merit list for Diploma courses will be prepared, and the seats will be allocated accordingly.

LPU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020

The candidates aspiring for B.Tech admission in LPU must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects as part of the LPU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020. The candidates must have an LPUNEST score subject to qualifying. For B.Tech Biotechnology/ Food Technology/ Biomedical Engineering courses, candidates who have studied Biology/ Maths in Class 12 along with Physics, Chemistry and English can apply.

LPU B.Arch Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with 60% of marks and Mathematics & English as the subjects. The candidate must have a valid NATA score or JEE Main Paper II score. Candidates with 60% of marks in any of the three-year Diploma courses can also apply. A valid NATA score or JEE Main Paper II score is mandatory for them as well. LPU provides 5% relaxation in marks to students who are wards of Kashmiri migrants, defence personnel and their dependents, and students from Sikkim and North-East states.

The candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any other discipline and have passed their +2 examinations with Business Statistics, Business Maths, Statistics or Mathematics as one of the subjects, then they will also pass the eligibility criteria for MCA admission at LPU. The candidate will also have to ensure that they have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate score in their qualifying examinations, in order to pass the eligibility criteria for MCA Executive Admissions 2020 at LPU. The candidates are also required to sit for LPUNEST 2020. Those candidates who have obtained more than 80% aggregate score in their graduation, bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent qualifying examination will be exempted from sitting in LPUNEST 2020. LPU Eligibility Criteria for International Applicants 2020

The eligibility criteria for all courses at LPU is different for international applicants. The international students who apply for admission at LPU must check the eligibility criteria that have been set particularly for them. All of them must fulfil the English Language Requirement (ELR) by either having studied English as a compulsory subject till class 10th or above or by clearing the qualifying examination in the English medium. The students will have to provide proof for supporting the latter option. In case the students are unable to fulfil these conditions, they must meet the ELR by appearing for a test of English Language like IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge English Certificate. Apart from fulfilling the ELR, some other conditions are also to be met for admission to certain courses. The eligibility criteria for international candidates for the various courses at LPU have been provided here.

Diploma in Engineering and Architecture: The candidate must have cleared the qualifying examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects.

For Lateral Entry in Diploma in Engineering, the applicant must have cleared ITI (in the technical field) after class 10th or two years long diploma or certificate of SLIET. OR The candidate should have cleared the vocational 10+2 level (in the technical field).

B.Tech: The candidate must have cleared 10 + 2 with Physics and Mathematics. For Biotechnology, he/ she must have Food Technology, Biomedical Engineering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biotech/ Biology compulsory subjects. For Chemical and Petroleum, the compulsory subjects of the applicant must comprise Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

For B.Tech Lateral Entry, the candidate must have a diploma in engineering which should be of the duration of three years if done after 10th and two years if done after 10+2 (non-medical). The students from the courses of B.Sc (non-medical) or B.Sc in Computer Science can also apply for B.Tech lateral entry. BCA will be considered for admission to B.Tech in CSE, Diploma in Architectural Assistantship will be accounted for B.Tech in Civil Engineering admissions, and for B.Tech in Biotech or Biomedical Engineering, a diploma in Biotech or a B.Sc degree will also be acceptable. LPU will consider students from the backgrounds of Diploma in Biotech, B.Sc in Bio-Sciences, B.Sc (Medical), and Diploma in Food Technology for admission to B.Tech in Food Technology through lateral entry. A diploma in engineering (any stream), B.Sc (non-medical), and B.Sc in Chemistry will be acceptable for B.Tech in Chemical Engineering admissions.

Integrated Courses of B.Tech-M.Tech, B.Tech-MBA, and B.Tech (Honours): The aggregate marks of the candidate at the 10 + 2 level must be 60% with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

B.C.A., Integrated B.B.A.-M.B.A, B.B.A. (Honours), B.Com (Honours), Integrated B.Com-M.B.A., B.A. (Honours): Marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination must not be less than 60% when taken in aggregate.

B.Sc (Honours) Agriculture: The candidate must have scored 50% marks in intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Forestry/ Biology as compulsory subjects. OR He/ she must have 50% marks in 10+2 with the subject of Agriculture. OR The applicant should have done a two-year diploma in Agriculture after class 10th and have scored no less than 50% marks in it.

B.Sc (Honours) Food Technology: Chemistry and Physics should be compulsory with Maths/ Food Processing/ Biotechnology/ Biology as a vocational subject.

B.Sc: The candidate must have cleared 10+2 with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology. The subject in which the candidate wishes to specialise must be among his/ her subjects of intermediate. For example, he/she must have Physics for getting admission to B.Sc in Physics and Chemistry for B.Sc in Chemistry. 

B.A. LL.B, B.Com LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B: The candidate must have secured at least 45 per cent marks at the 10 + 2 level after completing it in any stream.

B.Arch: The candidate must have scored no less than 50% marks in 10+2 and should have received passing marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. The marks obtained in these compulsory subjects must also be at least 50 per cent. The candidate must have appeared for NATA or JEE Main (Paper 2) or any State Level Test which is allowed by the statutory body. OR The candidate should have a three-year Diploma done in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. The diploma must be recognised by either the Central or the State Government and Mathematics must be a compulsory subject. Additionally, the applicant must also have given any of the competitive entrance exams of architecture like NATA, JEE Main (Paper 2) or any State Level Test that is considered for admission.

Integrated B.A. B.Ed, Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed: The candidate must have scored at least 50 per cent marks at the 10 + 2 level. For B.Sc B.Ed, the student must have completed intermediate via the science stream.

Physical Education Courses: The candidate has to appear for LPUPET for getting into BPES or B.Sc in Health and Physical Education.

B.Pharm: It is mandatory for the candidate to have cleared 10 + 2 with Chemistry, Physics, and Maths/Biology. For B.Pharm (Ayurveda), the candidate must have received passing marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths/ Biology/ Biotechnology OR he/ she must have done a diploma course of two years in Pharmacy (Ayurveda) after class 10th.

B.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology): The applicant should have cleared 10+2 with Chemistry and Maths/ Biotechnology/ Biology OR he/she should have done a two years long diploma course in Medical Laboratory Technology after class 10th.

Lateral Entry in B.Sc in IT and BCA: The candidate must have received passing marks in a Diploma of Engineering in any stream which is completed over three years after class 10th OR The candidate must have a Diploma in Computer Applications (2 years) or Information Technology (1 year) that is completed after 10+2.

Lateral Entry in MCA and MCA (Honours): The applicant must have cleared any of the following degrees, B.C.A./ B.Sc in Computer Science with Mathematics/ B.Sc in Information Technology for lateral entry in MCA. In order to be eligible for the lateral entry admission to MCA honours, the candidate must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in BCA, B.Sc in IT, or B.Sc in Computer Science with Mathematics at the bachelor level.

Lateral Entry in BBA and B.Com: The candidate must have completed a diploma course in Management, Commerce or Economics over a span of three years after clearing class 10th or for the duration of two years after 10 + 2.

Lateral Entry in B.Sc, BHMCT, B.Des, B.Pharm, BPT, and Architecture: The candidate must have completed a diploma course in the relevant field for getting admission to these courses via lateral entry. If the diploma is being done after class 10th, it should be of the duration of three years and if it is done after class 12th, it should be covered in two years.

For lateral entry to B.Sc in Health and Physical Education, the candidate must have cleared either DPED or C.P.Ed and must also have appeared for LPUPET. The applicant will be required to produce a Medical Fitness Certificate as well.

M.B.A. and M.B.A. Honours: The candidate must have completed any of the following courses- CS (Company Secretary) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, CA (Chartered Accountancy) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or CMA (Cost and Management Accountancy) from the Institutes of Cost Accountants of India. He/ she must have completed a bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate for MBA Honours. For MBA in Business Analytics, the candidate must have completed graduation with any of the following degrees- B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc in Mathematics, B.Sc (PCM), B.A. (Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics), B.Com, B.Con honours, BBA, BCA.

M.Com, M.Sc, M.Arch, MFA: The candidate must have a relevant bachelor's degree. For M.Arch, he/she must have scored at least 50 per cent marks in B.Arch. For MFA, the students who have completed a four years long graduation in an allied field are also considered for admission to the course.

M.Plan: The applicant must have completed graduation with a degree in B.Arch/ B.Tech (Civil Engineering / Planning)/ B.Plan OR a master's degree in Sociology/ Geography/ Economics.

M.Des: It is mandatory for the applicant to have cleared B.Des or B.Sc in the relevant field. Candidates who have done B.Arch, B.Plan, B.Construction Management or B.Tech (any stream) in the allied fields can also apply.

For integrated B.Ed+M.Ed, the candidate must have scored at least 55 per cent marks in his/ her postgraduate degree in the stream of Humanities/ Science/ Social Sciences or its equivalent.

For M.Ed, the applicant's aggregate marks should not be less than 50 per cent in any of the following degrees- B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed, B.A. B.Ed, B.El.Ed. OR He/ she must have a minimum of 50 per cent marks in D.El.Ed. and an undergraduate degree.
