T.A. Pai Management Institute, also known as TAPMI Manipal has announced the admissions for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses for the academic session 2018-20. All the PGDM courses offered by TAPMI are AICTE-approved. The detailed TAPMI PGDM Admission Notice 2018-20 is elaborated below.

PGDM Courses Offered by TAPMI: -

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
  • PGDM in Banking and Financial Services (PGDM – BKFS)
  • PGDM in Human Resource Management (PGDM – HRM)

TAPMI PGDM Eligibility Norms: -

  • Aspiring candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree or UG degree in any discipline with 50% of marks are eligible to apply for PGDM courses offered by TAPMI.
  • Final year UG students can also apply.
  • All the applicants must have a valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT score.

TAPMI PGDM Eligibility Norms for NRI Candidates: -

  • Candidates seeking admission under NRI Quota at TAPMI must be a graduate from an institute or university abroad in the last three years. (Or)
  • One of the parents of the candidate must be an NRI at time of application. (Or)
  • A candidate who is sponsored by an NRI blood relative.
  • 50% of marks in UG degree are mandatory for the admission.
  • All the NRI applicants must have a valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT score.

TAPMI Application Process for PGDM Course: -

  • TAMPI does not accept offline applications.
  • The candidates must visit the official website of TAPMI to fill the online application.
  • The application fee has to be paid in online mode.
  • The application fee for one course is Rs. 1,500 (plus 18% GST).
  • The application fee for two courses is Rs. 2,500 (plus 18% GST).
  • The application fee for three courses is Rs. 3,500 (plus 18% GST).

TAPMI Selection Procedure for PGDM Courses: -

The selection process of TAPMI is divided into three stages including: -

  • Performance in Entrance Exam, Work Experience and Academic Profile
  • Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview
  • Final Selection

The final selection of the candidates for the admission to PGDM courses at TAPMI will be based on the performance of candidates in all the stages of selection process.

TAPMI Selection Process

T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) does not conduct its own entry level exam and primarily selects students on the basis of CAT / XAT / GMAT scores. Apart from the score in either of these exams, the institute also gives importance to the candidate’s past academic background, work experience and overall development.

Selection for all the programmes mentioned above is done in two phases as given below:

 

Programme Phase 1 Phase 2
PGDM The institute will first select candidates on the basis of their score in either CAT / XAT / GMAT along with their academic profile. In the second round, the candidates have to appear for the Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The interviewing panel also analyses the quality of work experience of a candidate.
PGDM – HCM Candidates will be selected basis their score in either of the exams mentioned above, provided they clear the cutoff set by the institute. There may or may not be a Group Discussion round for this programme. However, the candidates will have to clear the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview in order to get admission in this programme.
PGDM – BKFS The institute accepts either off CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores for the selection of students for this programme. Performance in 10th, 12th and graduation along with work experience plays an essential role in selection. Selected candidates are invited on campus to appear for the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview round.
Executive Education Selection for this programmes is done on the basis of the application submitted by the candidate during the time of registration. Final selection is done on the basis of Personal Interview and quality of work experience of a candidate.
Doctorate level Programmes Candidates are selected on the basis of their research work and papers published by them. Candidate's application also plays an essential role. Shortlisted candidates are invited for Personal Interview round. Final selection is done on the basis of a candidate’s score in both the rounds.

 

Cut-off:

You can expect the cut-off to be around 80 percentile but it is not a definite score. The cut-off is subject to change as the admission trends are different each year. Check the estimated cut-off below:
