TAPMI begins the admission process for PGDM courses in November every year. The admissions for TAPMI PGDM courses begin with filling online application forms. Students aspiring to pursue PGDM at TAPMI must submit the online application form through its official website. TAPMI offers four PGDM programmes and students are allowed to apply for any one or all PGDM programmes.

For PGDM admission in TAPMI, students must clear a national-level entrance management exam. The admission process of TAPMI is purely based on the merit of the candidates. The Statement of Purpose submitted by the candidates also plays a vital role in TAPMI PGDM admission process.

Before the commencement of TAPMI PGDM admission process, the institutes releases an official information brochure that comprises all the details pertaining to PGDM admissions, eligibility criteria, selection process etc. Students must check the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for PGDM at TAPMI.

TAPMI PGDM Eligibility Criteria 2019

In order to take admission in the postgraduate programmes at the Institute of Management, the candidates will have to ensure that they have satisfied the TAPMI eligibility criteria for PGDM Programmes. The candidates who have passed a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% of marks are eligible to apply for the PGDM programmes offered by TAPMI. The candidates pursuing final-year UG or Bachelor’s degree can also apply for TAPMI PGDM programmes. The applicants must note that graduate degree in any stream is acceptable for TAPMI PGDM admissions.

Apart from the academic requirements, the applicants must have a valid score in XAT/ CAT/ GMAT entrance exams. Only those candidates who have qualified and have a valid percentile/ score in XAT/ CAT/ GMAT will be considered for the selection process.

TAPMI PGDM Application Process 2019

The candidates who are interested in taking admission in any one of the PGDM programmes that are offered by TAPMI, they will have to complete the TAPMI PGDM application process. The first step of the application process is to obtain the application form. The TAPMI Application form for PGDM programmes will be available on the official website of the college. The candidates are required to fill in the application form for TAPMI PGDM programmes with all the necessary details on the website itself. Once the application form has been correctly and completely filled up by the candidate, then they will have to submit the application form. The candidates will be asked to choose the PGDM programme that they wish to pursue. TAPMI also allows the students to choose more than one PGDM course in one go. 

TAPMI PGDM Application Fee 2019

In order to complete the application process, the candidates will have to pay the application fee for the application form for PGDM programmes at TAPMI. The application form fee for PGDM programmes at TAPMI will depend on the number of PGDM programmes that they have chosen in their application form. Those candidates who have chosen one PGDM programme while filling up the application form will have to pay Rs. 2,100. Meanwhile, the candidates who have chosen two PGDM programmes will have to pay Rs. 2,500. The candidates who have chosen three PGDM programmes will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 4,200. The candidates who have chosen all the PGDM programmes in the application form will be asked to pay an application fee of Rs. 5,900. the candidates must note that the application form fee for the PGDM programmes at TAPMI mentioned above is the fees without adding the GST prices. The candidates will have to pay an extra 18% GST over the application form fee for the PGDM programmes at TAPMI.

TAPMI PGDM Selection Process 2019

The TAPMI PGDM selection process is separated into three different stages or processes. The first process of the selection process for PGDM programmes at TAPMI is Shortlisting. After the conclusion of the online application process for PGDM programmes, TAPMI shortlists the candidates for the subsequent rounds of the selection process. The shortlisting can be done in three different ways. The first method of shortlisting includes shortlisting of candidates with work experience less than 24 months or fresh graduates – The shortlisting of candidates will be based on his/ her performance in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT, UG, Class 12 & Class 10. The second method of shortlisting of the candidate is done only if he/she has the following percentile in entrance exams, UG, Class 12 and Class 10.

The third method of shortlisting of candidates is applicable candidates who have had work experience of more than 24 months. Here, the shortlisting of candidates is completely different, as TAPMI follows profile-based shortlisting of candidates. The work experience will be considered as one of the major criteria for shortlisting the candidates.

Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited to take part in the admission process. Institute through e-mail or SMS will inform the shortlisted candidates.

TAPMI Admission Process 2019

The shortlisted candidates will have to take part in the admission process on the date specified by TAPMI. The admission process involves a written test, group discussion and personal interview. 

Written Ability Test (WAT) - It is conducted to evaluate the written capabilities of the candidates. WAT evaluates Technical (Grammar and Spellings) and Articulation capabilities of the applicants.

Group Discussion (GD) – It is the second activity in the admission process that aims to evaluate the ability of the applicant to interact within a group. As a part of GD, Communication, Persuasion, Orientation, Problem Solving and Leadership skills of the candidate will be evaluated. The topics for GD will be based on current affairs in the last five years.

Personal Interview (PI) – PI is the final stage in the admission process that aims to understand the candidate’s approach towards management education.

TAPMI conducts its admission process in different cities and locations all across India. Some of the places where the candidates can choose to take part in the admission process are Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Kolkata/ Hyderabad/ Bangalore/ Chennai/ Manipal where they can appear for WAT, GD and PI.

TAPMI PGDM Final Selection Process 2019

The final selection of the candidates will be based on overall performance in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT, academic performance, WAT, GD, PI, work experience (if any) and extracurricular activities. The selected candidates will be intimated by the institute through E-Mail or SMS.

TAPMI PGDM Scoring Mechanism 2019

TAPMI releases its scoring mechanism only after conducting the admission process. The overall score required for admission will be considered during the final selection process.
