NIFT 2026 Result has been declared for UG and PG programmes. Candidates who appeared in the entrance examination can now download their scorecards from the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee using their Application ID and password.
NIFT Stage 2 Admit Card 2026 for UG programmes has been released. Candidates can download it from the official NIFT portal at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee by logging in with their application ID and password. The NIFT Stage 2 examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 26, 2026.
NIFT Delhi admissions are offered in design and communication courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech and MFM are some of the popular degrees available. These programmes give students both theoretical and practical training to get them ready for the workforce. To secure a seat at the institute, candidates must meet the NIFT Delhi admission criteria. The selections will be done based on the applicant's prior academic performance and entrance exam outcomes. For securing a spot during the NIFT Delhi admission process, candidates have to take the college's own entrance exam, which will be followed by a group discussion (GD) and a personal interview (PI) round. The best chances for admission in NIFT Delhi will go to applicants who make the cut off list.

The application fee required for the National Institute of Fashion Technology admission process is Rs 3,000 for the Open/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Open-EWS Category and Rs 1,500 for the SC/ST/PWD Category. This fee is non-refundable. If candidates are unable to pay the application fee on the last date of registration, they will have to pay a late fee of Rs 5,000 along with the application fee.

The undergraduate programmes offered at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi are B.Des and B.F.Tech.
The NIFT entrance exam for B.Des comprises of General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT). Candidates must show up for both. A Situation Test would also be required of the shortlisted candidates. The CAT score is given 50% weight in the final merit list, the GAT score is given 30% weight, and the Situation Test is given 20% weight. The General Ability Test (GAT) for B.Des is a written exam with a 120-minute time limit. There are 100 questions total, broken down into the following sections: Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
The NIFT entrance exam for B.F.Tech comprises of General Ability Test (GAT). The GAT part consists of a written exam with 150 questions spread across five sections: Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability & English Comprehension, Analytical & Logical Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and Case Study. It lasts 180 minutes in total.
The postgraduate programmes offered at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi are M.Des, MFM and M.F.Tech.
The CAT and GAT exams must be taken by the candidates. Those who made the cut for the exam will also be contacted for the GD/PI round. CAT scores will be given a 40% weighting, GAT scores a 30% weighting and GD/PI scores a 30% weighting. The GAT exam for M.Des is a written exam with a 120-minute time limit that has 120 questions broken up into five sections: quantitative ability, communication ability, English comprehension, analytical ability, general knowledge, and current affairs.
The GAT Entrance Exam must be taken by the candidates. The candidates who have been shortlisted will then be contacted for the GD/PI rounds. GAT scores are given 70% of the total weight, whereas GD/PI scores are given 30%. The GAT exam for M.F.Tech and MFM is a written exam with 150 questions broken down into five sections: Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability and English Comprehension, Analytical and Logical Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, and Case Study. The test has a total time limit of 180 minutes.
