NIT Meghalaya admissions are open. JEE Main 2023 cutoff (qualifying) has been released by NTA on April 29, 2023. For NIT Meghalaya M.Tech admissions, GATE 2023 exam has been conducted. The candidate response is available in the application portal till February 15, 2023. GATE 2023 answer key released on February 21, 2023. Students can now download the official CAT scorecard for NIT Meghalaya MBA admissions. For NIT Meghalaya M.Sc admissions, JAM 2023 concluded on February 12, 2023. JAM 2023 answer key and questions are released. IIT JAM 2023 response sheet was out on February 20, 2023. JAM 2023 results will be declared on March 22, 2023.
National Institute of Technology or NIT Meghalaya, is one of the pioneer institutes of our country to impart knowledge in various fields of Information and Technology. Established in 2010, the NIT Meghalaya, is one of the 31 NITs in India to have been declared Institutes of Importance under the NIT Act 2007 of the Parliament of India. The institute has since been functioning from its old campus in Shillong, with total funding support from the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
NIT Meghalaya aims at imparting quality education to bright students in the fields of Science, Engineering and Technology in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The institute currently offers B.Tech/BE programmes in five specialisations- Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering; M.Tech/ME in five specialisations same as B.Tech, M.Sc in three subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and doctoral degree in various streams of Science, Engineering and Humanities. The B.Tech/BE programme is for 4 years, M.Tech/M.E is for 2 years, MSc for 2 years, and PhD for 5 years.

NIT Meghalaya has been ranked 59th by the NIRF Ranking in 2021 in the best engineering colleges of India. Its excellent curriculum has helped in attaining this rank in a very short time. NITM offers several courses of which ECE and CSE mostly opt.
The NIT Meghalaya courses are offered under B.Tech/BE programme in five specialisations that are Civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The campus life is good. Apart from the academic curriculum, students can participate in various events organized by the different clubs. The college also conducts several sports events. The institute organizes workshops where students can participate and learn new technologies to enhance their skills. A good gender ratio is maintained in college admissions. However, the students face a bit of constraint because of the temporary campus.
The infrastructure at the National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, is good. The NIT Meghalaya is built on 300 acres of land. The place is pollution-free and green, with many on-campus facilities. The classrooms are good, and the labs are well equipped with all the necessary equipment. The hostels are good with good quality food. The entire campus, as well as the hostels, is well connected through wifi. A 24 hrs medical service is also provided. There are several sports and game clubs where students participate actively.
The campus has state-of-the-art facilities for conducting industry interviews smoothly. It has a well-furnished hall with 100 for pre-placement talks called Rendezvous, a well-furnished GD room to hold discussions with a crew of 12 persons and 3 moderators called Oval, and 3 interview rooms. The hall also has 30 computers with client servers to help conduct online tests and video conferencing with industrial people for pre-placement talks so that the students can better understand the actual situations.
The NIT Meghalaya campus has an extensive library with over 13,000 books in various disciplines of Arts, Science, Humanities, Engineering, and Technology. Any institute member, be it students, faculty, or staff members, can avail of these books at any time. The institute also has a collection of journals and other materials that they can refer to for academic and research purposes.
The students who get admitted to this institute get hostel facilities. There are seven boys' hostels and two girls' hostels. The hostels are well connected through Wi-Fi and a gymnasium for the students. The mess food is good and hygienic and is well maintained.
The institute also has a computer centre that has over 200 high-power machines with the latest technologies and eight servers so that the students can get the maximum benefits through online information.
