To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program at NIT Meghalaya, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised board, with a minimum aggregate of 75 per cent (65 per cent for reserved categories). Admission is based on the JEE Main exam followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates appearing for 12th in 2025 are also eligible to apply. For M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, candidates must have a relevant undergraduate degree with at least 60 per cent marks, and admission is through the GATE exam followed by CCMT counselling.
