About VIT Pune
VIT Pune will start its admission process for BTech when the MHT CET Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) starts in June 2024 (tentative). For MHT CET CAP, candidates interested in admission to BTech at VIT Pune must qualify for the MHT CET 2024 exam for the PCM group which is ongoing and will end on May 17. The answer key for MHT CET 2024 is expected to be released in May 2024 and the result is expected to be announced in the second week of June 2024.
VIT Pune, also known as Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, is an autonomous engineering institute in Pune established in 1983. The institute is financed and run by the Bansilal Ramnath Agrawal Charitable Trust, Pune. It was granted autonomous status in the academic year 2008-09 and will enjoy this status up to 2030. It has also been selected for the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
VIT Pune courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and are affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The institute was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A++ grade in 2018 valid for the next five years and by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). As per the NIRF Rankings 2022, the institute ranked 142nd in the engineering category. It also has the ISO 9001 : 2015 by BSI, India.
VIT Pune offers a total of nine B.Tech programmes, three M.Tech programmes, and three PhD programmes. A three-year MCA programme is the latest addition to the VIT Pune courses list. The VIT Pune campus is spread across 6.5 acres and boasts a holistic learning environment for future technocrats. It also offers promising placement opportunities to its students via the VIT Pune placement drives. In 2022, the highest package at VIT Pune was 44 lakh per annum.

VIT Pune admission to BTech in 2024 is based on the student’s performance in the MHT CET exam. For the PCM group, the exam is scheduled from May 02 to May 17, 2024. Results will be announced in the second week of June 2024 (expected). Students must attend the MHT CET counselling to be held from July and August 2024 (tentative) for VIT Pune admission to BTech.
The VIT Pune admission process is an entrance-test-based process. Therefore, applicants need to appear for the prescribed entrance test exam to participate in the VIT Pune selection process.
