UP BSc Nursing Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria to appear n the UP BSc Nursing Entrance Exam:

  • The minimum age of admission is 17 years on or before December 31st.

  • A candidate must have passed PCB subjects and English individually and obtained at least 45% marks taken together in PCE at the qualifying examination (10+2).

  • A candidate from SC / ST or any other backward class should have secured at least 40% marks in their PCM subjects instead of 45% as stated above.

  • For admission in BSc Nursing, the candidates should have passed in English subjects in their Class 12th examination.

  • Both males and females are eligible to apply for the BSc Nursing

  • Vivekananda College of Nursing Lucknow, Sahara College of Nursing Lucknow and BCM College of Nursing, Khairabad, Sitapur, have seats for Female candidates only.

  • Candidates have to be medically fit. An additional medical checkup may be done before admission (the candidates who are in the merit list are required to submit a certificate of physical fitness from a registered medical practitioner

  • Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a fee of Rs. 2000/- for the General and OBC categories and as for the candidates from SC/ST need to pay Rs. 1200/- through Allahabad Bank or HDFC Bank along with the prescribed application form duly filled in.

The steps for filling up the UP BSc Nursing Entrance Exam Application Process 2024 are explained below:-

  • Online Application can be submitted on the website (kgmcindia.edu, kgmu.org)

  • Candidates need to first register and create their Login ID and Password on the official website and save all the information for future reference.

  • Fill all the mandatory fields in the application form carefully and check them before the final submission, as a wrongly filled or incomplete application form will be rejected immediately and no inquiry will be made on this matter.

  • After that take the printout of the completely filled application form

The Uttar Pradesh BSc Nursing Admit Card 2024 is released only on the official website. Applicants will be able to download the same by visiting the portal and providing their login credentials generated at the time of registration. All the essential information related to the exam time, date, and venue, along with the candidate's roll no. will be mentioned on the admit card, which is why applicants will need to keep the document safe. Besides, it is also the ticket to the exam hall, as no candidate will be allowed to take the exam without a valid admit card.

UP BSc Nursing Entrance Exam Selection Process 2024

The selection of the candidate to BSc Nursing course in Uttar Pradesh will be on the basis of merit and preference of the college given by the candidates. Candidates whose name appear in the merit list will be eligible for final admissions.

Reservation Policy:-

  • For disabled candidates: 5% Disability quota shall be granted to eligible candidates with locomotive disabilities between 40% and 50% of the lower extremity

  • A relaxation of 5% will be given to SC/ST candidates

  • Any reservation as per the State Government

  • The reservation will be valid for the sanctioned number of seats approved by INC

Note: A committee will be formed consisting of a medical officer approved by the State Medical Board and a panel nursing specialist who will be able to decide whether the candidates have a disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%.

UP BSc Nursing Entrance Tips and Guidelines to follow on Exam Day

  • To access their admit card, candidates are required to utilize their Login ID and Password. Entry into the examination hall is strictly contingent upon possession of the admit card.
  • The entrance exam spans 180 minutes, commencing at 11 am and concluding at 2 pm.
  • Candidates are mandated to arrive at the exam centre 60 minutes prior to the commencement of the entrance exam and must be seated 30 minutes before its initiation.
  • Once the seating time has elapsed, no candidate is permitted to enter the examination hall. Additionally, candidates are only allowed to exit the examination hall after the completion of the exam.
  • Candidates are instructed to sign the attendance sheet as directed by the Invigilators.
  • During the entrance exam, candidates are prohibited from carrying any textual material, whether written or printed.
  • Except for their admit card, candidates are strictly forbidden from bringing any textual material, printed or written, bits of paper, or any other materials into the examination hall.
  • The use of phones, pagers, or any electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited and will be treated as an act of unfair means.
  • The examination will be conducted exclusively in English through multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • Candidates are required to respond to 200 MCQs during the entrance exam, and no negative marking will be applied.
  • A silent environment must be maintained throughout the examination. Any disturbance in the hall is considered a violation, and defaulting candidates forfeit the right to continue the exam, with the decision of the Center Superintendent being final.
  • Candidates need to input their roll number at the top of the question booklet during the examination and nowhere else.
  • If rough work is necessary, candidates may utilize their question booklet but not the response sheet.
  • Copying from another candidate's paper or attempting to provide or receive unauthorized assistance is strictly prohibited.
  • Under no circumstances should the question booklet and answer sheet be taken outside the examination hall.
  • Candidates must exercise caution when filling out the answer sheet, as marks will be awarded based on the candidate's responses.
  • Failure to adhere to the aforementioned instructions during the examination results in the disqualification of the candidate from continuing the examination.

RSD Academy offers a B.Sc Nursing programme of four years duration. To secure admission in this programme, you must have passed the 10+2 qualifying exam with at least 45% marks from a recognised board. There is an intake of around 40 students in the B.Sc Nursing programme at RSD Academy. You must also be medically fit and provide a medical certificate ensuring the fact. Once you meet the eligibility criteria, admission will be granted. Selection is done on the basis of academic merit from the last qualifying examination.

Nalanda Medical college does not offer admission to B.Sc Nursing. The college offer admission in Diploma, MBBS, BDS and M.Sc course.
