The merit list for the admissions is prepared on the basis of candidates’ marks in the Diploma programme awarded by the examining authority. If there comes a situation of a tie then the issue is resolved in the following preferential order.
Candidates with higher marks/percentages in Physics subject at HSC will be considered.
Candidates with higher marks/percentages in the Chemistry subject at HSC will be considered.
Candidates with higher marks/percentages in SSC will be considered.
Candidates with higher marks/percentages in Science subject at SSC will be considered.

Eligibility for Maharashtra Lateral Entry Admission in Pharmacy 2021
The eligibility requirements for Direct Second Year Pharmacy Admission in Maharashtra is mentioned below:
Nationality: Indian
Educational Qualification: A Diploma programme in Pharmacy from an institute recognised/ approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or State or Central Government.
Percentage Required: At least 45% marks for General category students and 40% for candidates belonging to OBC, BC, EWS and PwD categories.
Application Process for Direct Second-Year Pharmacy Admission in Maharashtra 2021
The application process for admission is done in an online mode.
For this, candidates have to visit the official website of the conducting authority.
Candidates are required to upload their scanned documents while filling up the application form.
It is crucial for them to enter only valid details as per the instructions.
Applicants will be able to update or edit their details on the application form before confirming the information at any Facilitation Centre.
Once applicants have submitted their application forms, they must take a printout of the form and sign it as it will be required at the time of document verification.
Once the application form has been confirmed, candidates will not be allowed to make any further changes.

Reservation for Direct Second-Year Pharmacy Admission in Maharashtra 2021
There are different types of reservation for candidates following under different categories.
50 per cent reservation for Maharashtra candidates under CAP is as follows:

For Daughters or sons of Defence Service Personnel who are Maharashtra candidates coming under CAP, there is a 5% reservation of the total seats.
For persons with disability who are Maharashtra candidates coming under CAP, there is a 5% reservation of the total seats. The benchmark for disability is at least 40%.
For candidates belonging to the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) category, there is a 10 per cent reservation. These seats will be over and above the sanctioned intake for the intended course.
1% of the CAP seats are reserved for orphaned students.
30 per cent seats are reserved for female candidates. These seats include excluding Minority institutions and All India Seats. For female candidates under Persons with Disability, Orphan and Defence categories, there is no reservation.
Selection/ Admission Process for Direct Second-Year Pharmacy Admission in Maharashtra 2021
The admission process is done in the following steps:
Application and Provisional Merit List
The admission process begins with filling an online application form.
After the applications are submitted, the Admission Committee scrutinizes the forms and releases a provisional merit list.
The provisional merit list includes the name of the candidates eligible for admission.
If there are any discrepancies found on the provisional merit list, candidates have the provision to submit their grievances.
After that, a final merit list is released on the official website of the conducting authority.
Seat Matrix and Option Entry
Then, a category-wise seat matrix is released for respective CAP rounds. After which, candidates have to provide their choices for colleges and courses in preferential order. The option entry form to provide choices is filled in online mode using the login credentials.
Candidates can fill a maximum of 300 institute choices.
These option entry forms are then considered for further processing, after which, a Provisional Allotment list is displayed online.
Candidates who accept the offers made to them have to report to the stipulated venues on the given dates.
Along with the signed copy of the application form, candidates will be required to bring a set of xerox copied of the important documents at the Facilitation Centre for document verification.
CAP Round I
After the above steps, the seats remaining for CAP Round-I are displayed on the portal.
Candidates who make it to the final merit list for this round can begin with online choice filling option.
Then, candidates will have to confirm their option and proceed with the selection steps.
CAP Round II
Just like Round-I, seats available for Round-II will be displayed on the portal.
The steps followed are then similar to the first round.
Admission Cancellation and Fee Refund
To cancel the admission, candidates have to apply online.
They will have to submit the signed copy of a system-generated form to the respective institution.
Once an online required for admission cancellation has been sent, her/ his admission shall stand cancelled.
Upon this, the candidate will lose her/ his claim on the seat and it will then be considered for further allotment.
The institute will then the entire admission fee of the candidate after deducing INR 1,000/- from the sum.
