MH Board Class 10 Social Science Preparation Tips: The Maharashtra SSC 2023 Board Exams are about to start. The schedule for MH Class 10 Exams was released recently. The MH class 10 exams will be conducted from March 02 to March 25, 2023. In this article, we will be discussing the strategy that the students can follow to prepare for the MH Board Class 10 Social Science Exam. The Maharashtra Board conducts the Class 10th Social Studies exam in two parts: Social Studies Paper-I and Social Studies Paper-II. The Social Studies Paper - I is based on History and Political Science while Paper - II is on Geography. However, the report card of Maharashtra SSC will have a single aggregate score for Social Science, which will be the average of the two papers. Social Studies Paper-I will be conducted on March 23 where as the Paper - II will be held on march 25. Both the papers will be held in the morning shift i.e from 11: 00 AM to 2: 00 PM. Social Science is often considered as an easy subject by the students. It basically requires good reading and understanding skill to ace the Social Science paper. MH Board Class 10 Social Science Exam Pattern 

To score good marks in the MH Board Class 10 Social Science exam, one need to understand the exam pattern and the marking scheme. The Maharashtra SSC Exam Pattern for Social Science has been uploaded by the board on its official website. Complementing the National Education Policy 2020, the MH Board has introduced the changes in the exam pattern for current academic session. Now, the exams will mainly focus on the analytical interpretations of the students. The paper will basically be based upon competency based questions including multiple choice based questions, short answer type and long answer type questions. The questions will carry 1 mark, 2 marks, 3 marks, 4 and 5 marks based on the requirements. The long answer type will be of 5 marks each while the MCQs will be of 1 marks each. As we have already told you that the Maharashtra 10th board Social Science Paper will be divided in two papers, the two papers will be conducted on 40 marks each and on different days. Reiterating it again that the MH SSC Social Science Paper is divided into 2 papers: Paper - 1 & Paper - 2, students need to score well in both the papers to secure good marks in aggregate. As there are just a few days left for the Maharashtra Board Class 10 exams, students can implement some of the MH Board Class 10 Social Science Preparation Tips that have been mentioned below: 

1. Go through the syllabus: As the syllabus for MH Class 10 was improvised by the board at the starting of the academic year, students might already be aware of the topics and chapters that are to be covered as per the latest syllabus. Know the topics that have been asked consistently in the past years. The teachers also give a fair idea about the importance of chapters and sections of the syllabus. So study accordingly. 

2. Understand the exam pattern: Almost all the educational boards in India have decided to change the exam pattern in the wake of the new educational policy. The papers will now have more number of competency based questions. There will be multiple choice questions, very short answer type and long answer type questions in the exam. Therefore, students are advised to develop a better understanding and try to learn the concepts rationally. Students can cover the syllabus through NCERT books and it will be enough for them to score good marks in the board exam.

4. Focus on time line: The History part in the Social Science is all about the past events. It is important to learn the dates of the important events. 

5. Revision is must: Just completing the syllabus will not do enough. Revising the concepts is important and serves as an icing on the cake. Revision helps you develop better understanding of the topics. Infact, it helps you to frame the answers well and in the social science exams, you are awarded on the basis of the structuring of the answers. Therefore, start revising the chapters. 

6. Do the Map Work: As the Social Science Paper - II is of Geography, students should study the map seriously as it constitutes a major portion of the paper. Students are required to practice the map on a rough scale. This will help them to develop a good understanding of marking the physiology on the map and eventually help them secure good marks.
