It is essential to learn about these tips and tricks in your Rajasthan PTET 2023 preparation that can help you sail through the General awareness section. Given below are some of the preparation tips, which if followed rigorously, will definitely help you with the general awareness section of the exam.

  • Previous Years Question Papers: This is the first step that needs to be followed when preparing for general awareness and current affairs. Take and analyze 5-10 previous years' question papers and see what type of questions are asked and what are the topics from where the maximum questions are framed. This will help you to make a structural pattern in your mind while reading the newspapers and magazines; you would know which areas are important and which are not. This kind of strategic preparation is only possible when you analyze the previous years' papers in great depth.
  • Daily Newspaper Reading: Newspapers must be the first thing that you should read when preparing for Rajasthan PTET general awareness section. Read the newspaper thoroughly and try to make short and crisp self-notes for later revision. You can make flow charts, mind maps, and checklists to make your work easier. As the exam is at the state level, it is advisable to never miss the state section in the newspaper. One can also read a state-centric newspaper along with a national daily.
  • Glancing Over Current Affairs Magazines: Current affairs magazines are released monthly, so reading them daily is not possible, but one can study them on a weekly basis. The topics which the newspaper won’t be able to cover will be covered in the monthly magazines.
  • News Media/ Social Media: The other way of learning is through news channels and social media. Gone are the days when only books would fetch you knowledge. These days students can find tons of information on exams readily available on the internet. One can either take help from news channels and radio or be smart and save time by watching and preparing from YouTube videos, readily available quizzes on the internet, and social media posts from relevant sources, and make notes of the same. This is a fun way of learning and will keep you always updated with all the facts and the latest news.
  • Solve Mock Tests & Sample Papers: The general awareness section is practical and requires a logical mindset. You can only excel in this section if you practice more and more. Rote learning won’t help here, practicing daily mocks and sample papers are the only way one can increase their chances of getting maximum marks.
  • Revision: Set daily or weekly reminders for revision, there’s no point in making notes if they are not revised at least 5 times before the exam.
