The majority of the B.Ed entrance exam 2023 is split into two sections: the first paper and the second paper. The following is the detailed pattern of the entrance exam, divided into Paper I and Paper II.
Please note this is a generalized BEd entrance exam 2023 pattern that we have mentioned here. B.Ed entrance exams of different states and education boards may vary. The following are the most critical aspects of the BEd entrance exams that have been explained in a paper-wise exam pattern:
- The BEd entrance exam is typically divided into Paper one and Paper two.
- Part A (General Knowledge component) of Paper I is mandatory for all students to attempt; however, applicants for Part B (Language section) can choose between Hindi and English as their language of instruction.
- Part A (General Aptitude component) of the Paper II of the B.Ed entrance exam 2023 is required. Still, aspirants may choose any topic as per their educational background in Part B. (Subject Ability section).
- Each section will have 50 questions, with applicants receiving two points for each question.

Bihar B.Ed Entrance 2023
After cracking the Bihar B.Ed Common Entrance Test, Bihar candidates can enrol in B.Ed courses offered by different government and private colleges in Bihar. Every year, a state-level entrance examination is held. Bihar B.Ed entrance exam 2023 is administered by the Bihar Government through Narayan Mithila University in Darbhanga.
UP B.Ed JEE 2023
Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, will conduct UP B.Ed JEE 2023. The UP B.Ed 2023 exam is administered at the state level, and approximately 5 lakh students will appear for it. Those who pass the UP B.Ed exam will be admitted to one of Uttar Pradesh's B.Ed institutes for a 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. The UP BEd entrance exam is managed in an offline (pen-paper) method.
MAH B.Ed CET 2023
MAH B.Ed. CET is a state-level B.Ed entrance exam for Maharashtra B.Ed aspirants administered by the State Common Entrance Test Cell. It allows students to enrol in various Maharashtra institutes that offer B.Ed courses. The Maharashtra Government established the State Common Entrance Test Cell under Section 10 of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions. Jai Narayan Vyas University administers the Rajasthan PTET exam, Jodhpur. Every year, an offline Pre-Teacher Education Test is held for Rajasthan applicants. Candidates who are shortlisted in the Rajasthan PTET 2023 results can seek B.Ed admission 2023 in B.Ed and integrated B.Ed programs in Rajasthan B.Ed colleges.
CG Pre B.Ed 2023
Candidates clearing the CG Pre B.Ed can enrol in authorized B.Ed colleges across Chhattisgarh. Individuals with a B.Ed degree can apply for jobs in both the public and private sectors. The CG Pre B.Ed entrance exam 2023 will be administered by CG Vyapam.
TS EDCET 2023
Osmania University in Hyderabad will administer the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test 2023 (TS EdCET 2023). The university will conduct the B.Ed entrance exam 2023 on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education to provide B.Ed admission 2023 into the B.Ed (Two Years) Regular Course in Telangana's Colleges of Education.
AP EDCET 2023

Utkal University B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023
Utkal University provides students with the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed). Students are accepted into B.Ed programmes at Utkal University based on their previous academic or professional records, as well as the results of an entrance examination.
Applicants will be allotted seats as per the reservation policy of the Odisha Government where over 13 colleges are connected to Utkal University.
The programmes offered at Utkal University are of 2 - 3 years duration.
Patna University B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023
Applicants are accepted to Patna University as per their performance in the Patna University B.Ed entrance exam named Bachelor of Education Entrance Test (BEET). As per NCTE regulations, the university can enrol two units of aspirants for the B.Ed programme based on the seat matrix and their merit. One unit equals 50 students. The reservation guidelines are directed by the State Government.
University of Calicut B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023
Interested students seeking enrollment to the University of Calicut B.Ed course have to register via the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Applicants who do not register via CAP will not be considered for admission at any phase of the entire admission process.
The selection process involves considering the aggregate scores or grades secured by the aspirants in the UG Degree or PG Degree examination.
Applicants have to visit the official website and navigate to the B.Ed registration portal and complete the registration in the two steps - namely Creation of CAP ID and finishing the registration process by completing the payment.
Dibrugarh University B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023
Every year, Dibrugarh University conducts an admission examination for students interested in pursuing the University's 2-year B.Ed. degree. The Dibrugarh University B.Ed entrance exam is a university-level test where graduates and postgraduates with a minimum aggregate score of 50% to 55% are eligible to apply. The university-level B.Ed admission exam is typically held in June.
Shivaji University B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023
The university offers the three year Integrated B.Ed M.Ed and the two year M.Ed programme. Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is merit based. The university may conduct a departmental-level entrance examination to shortlisted candidates for the programmes. Apart from B.Ed M.Ed (Integrated) and the M.Ed course, eligible students can pursue M. Phil. (Education), Ph.D. (Education), P.G. Diploma in Mass Communication Education, and P.G. Diploma in Teacher Training Education.
Himachal Pradesh University B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023
The Himachal Pradesh University B.Ed entrance exam is an objective pattern entrance test for admission to the B.Ed programme at the H.P. University. Admission to the offered course will be conducted based on the marks scored in the admission test. The minimum marks to qualify the test is 53 out of 150, which is 35% for the General Category applicants. For the SC / ST / OBC / PH candidates, the minimum marks is 45, which amounts to 30%.
The test will have 150 MCQs of one mark each and last 2 hours.
Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed Entrance Exams 2023
The common eligibility criteria to pursue a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from any university are as follows:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree like a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), etc. from an established university.
- The minimum percentage required to pursue B.Ed may vary from university to university. Many institutions allow students with 50% in the UG degree to take the B.Ed CET, whereas many have set up the bar at 55%.
- Additionally, candidates with a master's degree in Science, Commerce, Engineering or Arts can also appear for the B.Ed entrance exams to become a teacher provided they have an overall percentage of 50% or above.
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 19 or above.
