With the AFCAT exam 2022 done, all aspirants are eagerly waiting for the results to be declared in March 2022. Once the results are out, all candidates who pass with good grades/marks would be eligible to sit for the interview process.

The AFCAT (Air Force Commission Admission Test) is a competitive exam that’s conducted by the Indian Air Force for aspirants who wish to pursue a career in the Indian Air Force. Once the results have been declared, the announcement for interview dates would also be done.


The complete selection process for AFCAT comprises of four rounds:

  • Written
  • AFSB Interview
  • Medical Exam
  • Final Selection

Candidates who have qualified for the written exam would be receiving call letters for the interview. Post the successful completion of the interview, selected candidates would need to under a medical examination after which the final selection is done.

Stages Involved in AFCAT Interview

The interview process for AFCAT itself is segregated into three stages; with each stage focusing on a different mode of interviewing/testing the candidate.

The first stage is where the candidates have to undergo the officer intelligence rating test, picture perception, and discussion test. Candidates who qualify at this stage have to submit their documents for verification purposes.

The second stage comprises the psychological evaluation of the candidates. After this, group tests & personality tests are conducted.

The third stage is organized for candidates who have applied in the Flying Branch where they have to undergo CPSS or the Computerized Pilot Selection System.
