• You must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 6.5/ 10.0 OGPA or equivalent from any of the recognised Horticulture/ Agriculture or any other deemed university accredited by ICAR. • Domicile Requirement: Karnataka state domicile status- Candidates must have studied for a minimum 7 years of in Karnataka. Horanadu/ Gadinadu Kannadigas should possess a degree from a Horticultural University/ Agricultural or any deemed university accredited by ICAR from the eligible geographical region.
• These candidates will be admitted as per the Government of Karnataka (GoK) orders
• You will have to score a minimum of 50 marks out of 100 in the written entrance examination conducted by the university.
• Those who are from any of the reserved categories including Scheduled caste/ Scheduled tribes or Cat-1 must have scored a minimum of 40 marks

Eligibility criteria for the PhD program at UAS are given below:

• You must have cleared a master’s degree in relevant qualification from any of the recognised Horticulture/ Agriculture or any other deemed university accredited by ICAR with a minimum of 2.5 out of 4.0 OGPA(For trimester) or 7.50 out of 10.00 OGPA(Semester Systems). Those who are from the reserved categories such as SC/ST or Cat-1 must have scored at least 2.0 out of 4 OGPA (Trimester) or 7.0 out of 10.00 OGPA (Semester system).
• If you who are seeking admission in the PhD program and have gone through the trimester system in their degree program are required to submit their master degree from the respective institutions or degree. Those who have a degree with the aggregate marks and percentage need to submit a conversion from marks to OGPA in 10.0 point scale signed by the registrar of the university or any other supportive certificate.
• Horanadu/ Gadinadu Kannadigas should possess a degree from a Horticultural University/ Agricultural or any deemed university accredited by ICAR from the eligible geographical region. They will be given admission as per GoK orders.
