The Placement Cell was created at Ambedkar University Delhi in 2007 getting chaired by Sh. Sachit Sharma Secretary of Training and Placement Cell with the Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management as a Professor-in-charge and the Joint Registrar (Aca. & Conf.) as the convener, coordinator of Career Counseling Cell as the new coordinator member. The main exertion of the AUD placement Cell is to promote and give a solid stage for placement of the interested pupil through a lot of recruitment or placement campaigns on campus.
The Advisory Committee consists of 22 members and is the highest deciding body for the Placement Cell constituted for a term of three years. Honourable Vice-Chancellor of the Ambedkar University Delhi is the ex-officio chairman and therefore the Jt. Registrar (Acad. & Conf.) is the convener. The coordinator of that of the Career Counselling Cell is the coordinating member. The committee must sit for a meet two times during a year with one meeting taking place each semester.
The Working Committee consists of eight members and is chaired by the Professor in charge of the Placement Cell and functions as the second-highest deciding body regarding the AUD placement campaigns. The committee shall meet fourfold during a year with two meetings happening each semester. The foremost task of this committee is to guide the day-to-day functions of the Placement cell.
The Placement cell helps the students and companies conduct a smooth and seamless Placement drive. The Placement Cell is dedicated to building a better future for its students. The Placement cell always aims to achieve 100% Placement during interviews.
The Ambedkar University Delhi Placement Cell trains the students to feel more confident during the interview process and helps them in training, skill development, personality development, and communication skills. > A soft copy of the placement brochure is additionally sent with the mail.
> The company fills the response sheet and sends it by e-mail to the AUD Placement Cell, the work announcement is being sent by the corporate to the placement cell.
> Once the small print about the vacancies is received, the mutually convenient date is fixed for campus recruitment.
> Once the date is fixed, the announcement letter of campus recruitment is circulated to the scholars through the mail, by broadcasting on the Ambedkar University Delhi website & notice is sent to the departments to display on the bulletin board.
> Thereafter, the travel plans are obtained from the corporate.
> The accommodations and necessary logistic assistance are given for the recruitment process.
> Subsequently, the candidates are shortlisted for the placement drive.
> AUD recruitment process starts with written test / conference / presentation / interview, etc.
> The offers are made by the corporate to the successful candidates for appointment.
> The students may accept the offer letter and sign it and send it to the corporate through the Placement Cell.
There are some rules for students, -
> Students should regularly visit the website of the Placement Cell of Ambedkar University Delhi jobs/internships/training updates.
> The interested students should register with the Placement Cell by filling out the Placement Registration Form.
> All registered students will receive an email and WhatsApp message about jobs/internships/training-related information.
> The Ambedkar University Delhi placement cell will allow only registered students to take a seat for the Campus Placement and other opportunities offered to the Placement cell.
> All the knowledge associated with Campus Recruitment / Jobs / Internships are going to be available on the webpage of the Placement Cell.
> Placement Cell won't be liable for absenteeism in any test, interview, or selection process that is required by the corporate.
The Placement Committee shall have the following Terms of Reference (ToRs):
> To facilitate the placement and training activities of the university and the respective schools.
> To coordinate & advise AUD Students Placement Committee in order to fulfil their placement & training-related goals.
> To facilitate and improve the relationship of the University and Schools with Corporate, Government, NGOs (Non-Government Organizations), and other recruiting organizations.
> To impanel the University and respective Schools with leading recruiters both public & private Organizations.
> To facilitate current batch students’ interaction with the outside world including, AUD Alumni, advocacy & other Govt. & Public organization.
> To organize activities related to training & research in order to improve students’ employability.
> To organize workshop activities, panel discussions, and guest lectures on soft skills and social skills.
> To nominate one Student Coordinator per program to work with the AUD Training and Placement Cell closely with Training & Placement Cell and help in collecting the data on Placement of the School / Program with the Training & Placement Cell.
> Any other responsibilities and activities assigned from time to time as approved by the competent authority.
