BITS Pilani CutOff 2025: BITSAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT Cutoffs

BITS Pilani cutoff 2025 for B.E. Computer Science closed at 304 marks out of 390 for the General category. Similarly, for Mathematics & Computing and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), the cutoff stood at 295 and 285 marks, respectively. The overall BITSAT cutoff 2025 for M.Sc programs ranged from 208-251 marks, while the cutoff for B.Pharm (Hons.) closed at 168 marks.

For M.E. Computer Science, a GATE score above 700 is considered competitive for the BITS Pilani campus, while Microelectronics and Communication Engineering requires scores in the 600–750 range. Based on CAT, XAT, & GMAT, BITS Pilani MBA cutoff 2025 was 75 percentile, 70 percentile, & 620 marks, respectively.

BITS Pilani accepts BITSAT for admission to B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc programs, GATE for M.E., GPAT for M.Pharm, BITS HD Test for M.E./M.Pharm, and BAAT/CAT/XAT/GMAT for MBA admissions. BITS Pilani MBA cutoff 2025 was 75 percentile in CAT, 70 percentile in XAT, and 620 marks in GMAT for the General category students. 

Note: Valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores shall be considered in the overall assessment. However, it is mandatory for candidates to appear & qualify for the BAAT exam conducted by the institute for MBA admissions.

BITS Pilani MBA Cutoff Trends (2023–2025) 

The BITS Pilani cutoff for MBA (Business Analytics) through CAT closed at 75 percentile in 2025, compared to 60 percentile in 2024 and 2023, indicating an increase in the cutoff over the past year. The XAT cutoff remained stable at 70 percentile from 2023 to 2025. Based on GMAT, the required score increased from 600 in 2024 to 620 in 2025.

3. Select the academic year: 2025–26
4. Check the cutoff scores for each campus and program

The BITS Pilani cutoff changes every year based on different factors. During BITSAT counseling 6–7 rounds of iterations are conducted to allocate seats across BITS campuses. The final iteration cutoff is the actual cutoff, as it shows the lowest score at which a seat was filled. The following factors affect the BITS Pilani cutoff.

• Exam difficulty: If the BITSAT paper is tough, scores go down, and cutoffs also drop. This is likely why cutoffs decreased in 2025.
• Number of candidates: More students giving the exam means higher competition, especially for top branches like CSE.
• Seat availability: The number of seats at Pilani has remained consistent over the years. With increasing competition, this can keep cutoffs high.

• Iteration process: Cutoffs decrease from Iteration 1 to the final iteration as top students choose other colleges and remaining seats get filled
• Bracketing rule: If two students have the same BITSAT score, their Class 12 PCM marks are used to decide who gets the seat.
